Yes we’re v late to post this one.. but everyday is IWD 💐 We’re so grateful that last month we hosted a free event with @women_in_film_community @yogariselondon Peckham We had a beautiful evening with our panel hosted by @adi_alfa_x talking all the beauties and hardships of navigating being a woman in film and tv. Our panel guests included: @fran.thompson - managing director of @parkpictures @scarlettgardner_ - award winning DOP @isans.y - assistant Director @fayehpurcell - creative commissioner and manager @eleanorgracehann - award winning director and co founder of That Girl Yoga We wanted it to be a wholesome free event for women to leave feeling charged up and connected to other women in the industry. So we had sober drinks from our faves @drinklivingthings and ended with a soundbath 💘 Pictures from our love @izza.shot

Just pretend these are my wedding photos xo Last night we kicked off Iftar At Ours with @ikeauk and wow, what a night for @amaliah_com You can go and see the house on the 4th and 5th of March - it is quite the sight!📍Observation Point, Southbank, London. Before it heads over to Manchester! Truly blown away by the reception to the campaign roll out and the feedback from guests. People genuinely felt at home. Strangers became friends. Many shared how seen they felt in a space that was created with real care. This campaign felt like a glimmer and tribute of the reference I had in mind for this campaign, an auntie’s home and in particular my own mother’s where love, care and hospitality bursts through the walls for whoever walks in. The last few months I have been working closely with IKEA and @motherlondon as the consultant across every layer of this project, from strategic and cultural insight to consulting on the creative and comms roll out, to talent and partner recommendations, through to the community and guest experience, including the interior build, the menu, food choices and hospitality. Pushing and pulling each other to find a sweet spot. Grateful to everyone who came and made last night what it was. ✨ And a huge huge shout out to @bearded_kitten and Jessica Crimin for absolutely knocking it out of the park on the installation! Huge huge amounts of love to the team at Mother and IKEA for being such a joy to work with and putting up with me being a thorn. And a massive shout out to @untold_studios team and director @tagliatellle and us Muslim girlies on set @isans.y @naailahkhalifa @hajia_belle . @yassmin_a for hosting, @mywanderinghome and @mursal_saiq on the menu and so so many people bts including the wonderful @amaliah_com team and @hasshamdesigns Alhamdulilah 🌙🥺 #IftarAtOurs

Unndrachiever 😮‍💨

Writing this with ALL the love and gratitude in my heart. This day was truly one of my favourite days of my life so far. Guys, if you don’t know my journey - I spent the first 25 years of my life chasing my first love: academics. I’ve always been a nerd, and never been shy to admit it. Since the age of 15, I have been entirely obsessed with Behavioural Economics and Social Psychology and it was my dream to be an Applied Behavioural Scientist. I spent my high school days dreaming about attending @yale so I could double major in Economics and Psychology and also get to perform - dance, sing & act - as Yale is renowned for the social sciences and performing arts. I was lucky to be able to live out that dream. During my 2nd year, I attended a summer school at @lse.pbs and fell in love with the campus & London. I knew I’d be back for my Master’s. And a year after undergrad, I sure was. But in the gap year in between, I moved to Bombay to pursue my artistic dream, trying my luck in acting and singing. As you guys know, I got incredibly lucky and bagged my first song, First Kiss, with @yoyohoneysingh 💎But the catch was that we filmed that video in August 2020, and I had already committed to return to academics at LSE in September (having given up on music thinking it wasn’t gonna work out for me). A month into my MSc program, First Kiss dropped and changed my life. This was in the thick of the pandemic, no vaccines out yet, travel bans to and from India. I spent the year in lockdown, studying & applying for jobs in London, utterly confused about how I’d make music living out of London. I would pick up independent projects, juggling being a singer by night and Behavioral Scientist by day. After 2 years of working in boutique BeSci consulting, I moved into public health. My incredible job at @gocommonthread allowed me to work out of Bombay. I loved the ability to do more music work. But in late 2024, I finally decided - I need to stop playing it safe, take the biggest risk and commit my life to the arts. I am now a singer-songwriter and actress. I have big dreams and endless gratitude for all of you who’ve supported me and I hope to make you all proud 🇮🇳♥️
