Where do I start? I played seven years in the NFLāfour of those with the best organization a player could ask for. A family-run team that genuinely cares about its players and their families.
I got to suit up for so many games as a major contributor, and even served as captain a few times. In 2020, I was honored to be the Chargersā Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee. But the part that lasts? The friendships. Not just with teammates, but with the people throughout the entire building.
And the way they embraced my wifeāsupported her career, believed in her, and championed everything she was trying to doāmeant more than theyāll ever know. At a time when so few people saw her clearly, they did. That kind of support stays with you.
My only real regret is that my daughter wasnāt around to see me play.
But once again, the Chargers showed up. They gave her a chance to be part of my football journey, even in a small wayāand that changed everything for me.

Another neighborhood dad workout done.
Super thankful I got to do this again. Took a few weeks off because with a newborn thereās really no way to predict sleep lol. But weāve finally gotten into a little more of a routine, and itās allowed me to get back to waking up once a week at 5:30 AM to work out with some other dads.
Honestly, itās such a good start to the weekend and gives our dads group chat something to actually do lol.
Iāll keep posting these workouts so you guys can see them. Iāve become an absolute expert at the 30 to 45 minute workout š

This journey has been so fun for me...Doing things as simple as increasing my steps, working out every day, getting into actual cardio like running, and just swapping out stuff thatās obviously unhealthy for either nothing or healthier versions.
Eating more whole foods and less processed foods.
Switching out lower fat options for options I used to eat that were way higher in fat. And yes, I know people are super against low fat options, but hereās the deal... I get enough fat in my diet already. I donāt need full fat everything. Thereās just no point for me personally.
Also... Iām huge on hitting 250g of protein a day. No exceptions.

Officially 4ish weeks into this and I have so many thoughtsā¦hereās a photo dump too
One, sunshine is really clutch. We had Scottie, our first daughter, in the āwinterā (in quotes because itās California š), and the colder, gloomier weather honestly affected everyoneās mood. My wife especially has really valued waking up to sunlight. Itās been a very real serotonin boost for us, and Iām so thankful we get to live here.
Second, Iāve struggled with giving up my routine after baby number two. Sometimes I wake up moody and annoyed that I didnāt sleep well or couldnāt get up and work out⦠which is honestly ridiculous. But Iāve had to make it a real point of emphasis because my mood impacts my wifeās mood. If sheās home all day with the kids and not getting out much, itās my job to regulate my emotions and help carry the emotional load too. In other words⦠I need to grow tf up lol.
Lastly, Iām so thankful for my wifeās thought process and relentlessness when it comes to figuring out why our baby girl might be fussy. Sheās an incredible mom and Iād genuinely be so lost without her.
