I started this project bc of everything happening in the media right now, the conversations, the raids, the way our communities are being discussed. I wanted a reminder that we are proud of who we are and proud to wear our heritage visibly.
This shoot was created to highlight the beauty and meaning of ribbon braids, a tradition that carries culture, identity, & pride.
I was deeply inspired by @ponteyourmonos and the beautiful work they’re doing, using trenzas to raise funds for families affected by ICE raids and turning tradition into community care.
This shoot is my own small tribute.

Beauty BTS: I recently brought my second creative shoot to life merging soft floral elements with a touch of greenery. This glam look includes ombré green eyeshadow shades from light to dark, blushy cheeks, & a touch of shimmer. I added a gorgeous mixture of flowers to her hair to bring in a botanical feel.
