How’s your week going?
I’m really happy because after weeks of rushing around, I finally feel like I have time to relax and get back to gaming again. ✨ I was super into Pokopia before leaving for Japan, and now I’m finally able to spend more time playing it again (I haven’t even finished the main story yet 😂)
Also, I finally decided to invest in some good lighting for my setup, and honestly…I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner! I love how lights can completely change the vibe, right now I’m obsessed with this cozy pink and orange combo 🤭

It’s been a while since my last post, but so many things have happened, and I’ve made a lot of changes to my setup recently!
It all started when my partner decided to move his setup to another room since we often had work meetings at the same time. That meant I suddenly had an entire room for my own setup, which honestly felt a little overwhelming at first.
I had so many ideas and wanted to do everything at once, so it took me a while to figure out what I truly wanted the space to look and feel like.
There’s still some work left to do in the rest of the room. I’d love to create a cozy reading/gaming corner, as well as a little coffee and matcha station, both are currently under construction, and I can’t wait to share them with you soon! ✨
In the meantime, I’m really happy to finally share the first photos of my new setup. And as you can see, Rusty loves it 🐱
Now that I’m almost done with everything, I’m hoping to finally be back and post more consistently again! 💕

Universal Studios & Super Nintendo World 🎮
Yesterday we visited Universal Studios in Osaka!
We had entry to Super Nintendo World around noon, so we spent the morning exploring the park. We went on a Jurassic Park attraction (no filming allowed!) and watched a Jujutsu Kaisen 4D show, which was really cool.
Super Nintendo World was amazing, you truly feel like you’ve stepped into a Mario game! Everything looked incredible. That said, we only managed to do 2 out of the 4 attractions because the queues were so long… like over 2 hours for a 2-minute ride 🥲 not really worth it.
I have to admit that even the queue areas are fully themed and beautifully designed. For the Mario Kart ride, the entire Bowser castle is part of the queue, we went through about four different rooms, and it was super immersive!
We ended the day with the cutest Mario strawberry cupcake ever and it tasted just as good as it looked 🍓✨
Katsuo-ji shrine & Ninoh waterfall ⛩️🍃
On our second day in Osaka, we visited Minoh, a small town known for its Katsuo-ji Temple and waterfall. The temple is especially famous for its many daruma dolls, you can write your wish on one, paint in a single eye, and then fill in the other once your wish comes true.
We were hoping to catch the cherry blossom season, but it looks like the sakura in Osaka bloom a bit later than we expected and as you can see, none had blossomed yet 🥲 Still, we’re hopeful we’ll get to see them in other cities soon!
Afterward, we went on a hike to the waterfall. Unfortunately, same story there, no sakura just yet 🥲 Anyway the hike was really nice and we were able to see another shrine too ✨

First day in Osaka! 🇯🇵✨
After a long travel day, we finally made it to Osaka yesterday and headed straight to the Pokémon Café and Pokémon Center, surprisingly just a short walk from our hotel!
We tried getting reservations for the café online, but it felt impossible. Luckily, when we got there, there was only one other couple waiting, and after a bit, they let us in! The Pikachu show was absolutely adorable, and both the food and drinks were so fun and tasty.
The Pokemon Center was full of Pokopia merch and stands, it was so hard to resist!
In the evening, we explored Dotonbori, trying lots of takoyaki and other street food. We ended the night in a huge gachapon and arcade spot packed with machines. We even played a Luigi’s Mansion arcade game, it was so fun and cheap (like… what do you mean we can play both for only €1 😭).
Back to the hotel after that to recharge, such a fun first day! 🥹
I ended up caving and getting a Switch 2 to play Pokopia too, and so far I have zero regrets 😍
It was definitely quite an investment, but I’m loving the game so much! It’s not boring at all, there are a lot of different mechanics, and it seems like there’s a ton of content to explore 🥹
There’s also an event starting really soon, so I’m hoping they’ll keep updating the game with more story and Pokémon. That would be amazing!

Also, I’m looking into getting a cover for the Switch 2 and a travel case, but I’m not sure which ones to get yet!

I’m sorry…I ended up caving too 🥲
Honestly, I didn’t feel the need to buy a Switch 2 until now, and I wasn’t even expecting to be this excited about this game…but the hype hit me really hard and I couldn’t resist, so yesterday I ended up going to the store to get one 😂
I also accidentally ruined my boyfriend’s surprise, he had actually ordered one last week without telling me, but it was taking a long time to arrive. When I finally decided I was going to the store to get one, he had to tell me 😂
In the end, we agreed that we’ll probably be playing it a lot, and the idea of splitting playtime didn’t sound that great. Plus, we have a big trip coming up with lots of traveling and waiting around, so it’s worth I guess…
The big plus is that we’ll be able to play multiplayer too! I’ll let you know my impressions about that as well 🥰
There’s not much more to say about the game itself, I’m sure you’ve all seen it a thousand times already…but I do have to say it’s really good, and as a Pokémon fan, I think they did really a great job with it 🥹
So I’m sorry if I’m not around, I will be improving my island to make my Pokémons happy 🫶🏻

How’s your week going? Mine has been really busy and stressful because of work, and I’ve been seriously craving some free time.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been playing Disney Dreamlight Valley on Apple Arcade since I had a few free months of the subscription. But I recently found out that if you play through the subscription, you can only play it there and can’t transfer your progress to other devices 🥲
So I ended up buying it on my Switch and now I have to start over. Honestly though, I’m glad I found out early and didn’t get stuck paying for a subscription forever 😂 Plus, being able to play on the sofa is a huge bonus ✨
