Hamburg today. 🇩🇪❤️6 March 2026. 🌊💙🩵🤍 ⚓️ So sunny & brilliant, full of awesome spring vibes & truly Italian flair. 🇮🇹 Walking through the white Alsterarkaden along the sparkling blue Fleet, with the reflections 💎 💦 💧🪞of Hamburg City Hall in the picturesque background, I was singing 🎶 this brand new Italian 🇮🇹 song „Forever yes!“ of the Sanremo Music Festival 2026. The 76th Italian Song Festival or the 76th edition of the annual television song contest, was held between 24 & 28 February in the Theatre „Ariston“ of Sanremo, presented by Carlo Conti & Laura Pausini. The festival was won by the Italian-American singer Sal Da Vinci, with the song „Per sempre sì“, earning him the right to represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.
While the song is in Italian, the lyrics are a romantic tribute to love and marriage, with themes of being united forever:

Winter 2026 in Schleswig-Holstein. 🇩🇪 The Swan Lake. 🦢 🌊 💙🩵🩶 The theme of the 2025/2026 winter in Germany has been defined by a „Let it Snow“ ❄️ 🌨️ atmosphere, with significant & sometimes unexpected heavy snowfall, particularly in early January 2026. After a generally mild start to the season, cold Arctic air swept across the region, transforming cities & landscapes into a „real-life winter postcard“ & „fairytale“ scene. A „Magical Winter Wonderland“, Schleswig-Holstein experienced heavy snow, coating everything in a thick layer of white, creating a serene & truly magical atmosphere. The snow has brought the winter calm - a quieter, slower pace of life, encouraging people to embrace the cold by enjoying hot mulled wine, building snowmen⛄️ & appreciating the quiet, sometimes completely frozen „wonderland“. As lakes & canals froze over, they became natural ice rinks, with residents taking to skates or sleds. The heavy snow has been a joy for many, including the unique opportunities for skiing in the city. ⛷️ The snowy scenes, from the „icy 🧊 magic“ of the lakes to the snow-covered nature have made this really a very „Instagrammable“ season in Germany, with lots of „snapshots“ of beauty. This „Let it Snow“ winter has brought a unique, beautiful and sometimes challenging charm to the country, making for a truly memorable winter experience.
Anyway, this unforgettable winter is already over. Although it’s raining ☔️ 🌧️ cats & dogs at the moment & the spring is on its way, I‘m still a bit nostalgic about the snowy moments which I was lucky to enjoy in SH observing the graceful swans, the cute ducks & hundreds of wild geese landing suddenly, out of the blue - like in the „National Geographic“ documentary - on the surface of the no more frozen lake, surrounded by the picturesque white snow.
