Beyond grateful for this job and the creative people I get to work with on a daily basis! Come see this amazing piece while you still can this week! 🧬
What does it mean to be human when technology and the body start to merge?
During Rotterdam Art Week, step into Double Helix at the Katoenhuis.
Not a traditional performance, but an immersive experience that pulls you in.
Together, @naninelinning_official and @barthess create a distorted world where hybrid bodies and movement blur the line between human and machine.

“They needed 200 bodies for one wax figure.” In this interview, choreographers @sarahbaltzinger_ and @saisaiwilson take you into the history and inspiration behind WAXES.
In WAXES, bodies come to life trying to reclaim their autonomy. The body sculptures by designer @manuelabenaim , inspired by 18th-century wax anatomical models, expose the objectification and appropriation of women’s bodies.

SACRE by @mlhertog
What does it mean to be a man today? This radical and beautiful reinterpretation of Le Sacre du Printemps dives into the transformation and sacrifices of young men shaped by the manosphere. In their search for control and power, they become trapped in rituals of toxic masculinity, where vulnerability and self-expression are dangerously suppressed. Expect a physical, urgent performance that challenges outdated ideas and forces you to see them in a new light.
Part of Origin: The Future is Feminine, a program merging film, dance, and urgent perspectives on power, gender, and identity. Only two weeks left, grab your tickets at scapinoballet.nl 🎟

How does the gaze of history continue to shape us? What happens when we stop looking through old, objectifying frames?
WAXES by @sarahbaltzinger_ and @saisaiwilson takes you into a clinical world where female bodies move on instinct, explore and experience themselves, and push back against everything that has already been defined for them.
