Wyndham Ridge Estate in Greta has experienced an explosion in enquiry since the announcement, with over 25 lots being snapped up in June. With recent unprecedented demand, and the entire masterplan already complete, Stage 4 was quickly brought to market to meet the demand.
Kristy Houk and her husband, Ryan were one of the lucky buyers in this new land release.
“Ryan and I originally relocated from Sydney due to work commitments about seven years ago. Back then, we weren’t sure we would stay up this way for long but quickly grew to love the area and loved the country town feeling that Greta had to offer. From the day we moved here we knew that this was where we would plant our roots and settle our little family.
We always knew our next step for our family was to move to a larger sized block with a more spacious home that we could grow into as our son, Liam, grew older. We cherished the idea of a new home in an estate but were not fond of how built up and crowded many of the other local estates were becoming. Curiosity got the better of me one day whilst out on a walk. Wandering in I instantly loved the feeling of Wyndham Ridge. It offered that ‘new estate’ feeling, one created with families in mind, with the larger blocks that we were looking for, and it had the country charm about it. I was also pleasantly surprised at how affordable the larger sized blocks were, originally thinking they would be out of our price range”.
Originally our plan was to start looking for our block of land in the next year or so, but with the blocks at Wyndham selling fast and now the amazing government grants on offer we decided to take the plunge earlier and take advantage of this. The $25k HomeBuilder grant will assist us to further customise our home to make it exactly what we are dreaming of.
We are very excited for what the future holds and for our little family to build our forever home at Wyndham Ridge.”
