I wrote this song a few years back in my first ever session at @e11studios 2 months after my breakup.
it takes a very special energy to allow me to feel as comfortable as is required to write something like this, and a very special human capable of providing such energy.
@flomine is said human, and even beyond his incredible creativity as an artist and producer, everyone who knows him can testify to his ability to hold space for others. that’s his superpower.
I returned many moons later to finish verse 2 (it’s always verse 2!!) and it felt like no time had past, though somehow I was not the same person anymore. it’s amazing how through creating music we somehow unintentionally document growth.
in its time out in the world after I released LN/EM many of you approached me to say how this one somehow hit different or resonated deeper.
now you know why.
