Classic yachts ๐ค modern rating racing
IRC Rating showed its versatility at the inaugural Classic Yacht Regatta on Sydney Harbour, where 27 of the 63 entries chose to race under IRC using Standard certificates.
The addition of dual scoring was welcomed by organisers and competitors alike, adding another tactical element to the racing while helping attract a strong and varied fleet.
From classic yachts to modern grand prix racers, IRC continues to provide a fair and consistent framework across a huge range of boats.
IRC Standard certificates are also gaining momentum across Australia, giving more sailors access to objective rating racing at club level.

RORC Easter Challenge | IRC season starts here
RORC Easter Challenge returns to the Solent from 3โ5 April, bringing together IRC teams for three days of short-course racing combined with structured coaching and video debriefs.
Racing is scored under IRC โ the worldโs leading time correction system for offshore and inshore racing โ where boats of different sizes and designs compete on corrected time. That makes it an ideal format for mixed fleets to line up together and benchmark performance early in the season.
Based out of the RORC Cowes Clubhouse, teams race by day and review starts, boat handling, sail trim and tactics each evening with feedback from Richard Moxey and the coaching team.
For teams planning their season, itโs a practical way to test IRC setups, refine crew work and build consistency under race conditions.
Entries are open via SailRaceHQ, with racing taking place across the Easter weekend and updates shared via RORC channels.
