Check out the gallery! The first-floor gallery showcases paintings by Gene Smerz. A retired art instructor, his work includes an array of subjects that capture his interest, including musicians and places.
The second-floor gallery features Terry Whaley’s work. Her paintings feature animal, flower, and nature subjects.

To get Keshav’s Garden ready for programming and summer, everyone is invited to join us for Keshav’s Garden Planting Party Drop-In on Tuesday, May 19, 4-5 p.m. Keshav's Garden is named in memory of Keshav Sanghani and is on the east side of the building. In this hands-on experience, complete with gardening expertise provided by the Darien Garden Club, help plant seeds and plants in our raised garden beds. Afterward, stay and make your own nature-themed button in the Maker Studio. We’d love to see you there!

Are you a teen, ages 13-18, looking to serve your community and earn service hours? Volunteer with IPPL this summer! Our Volunteen program is limited to teens who have turned 13 by June 1 and who attend a school or live in the library’s district. Those interested can fill out the Teen Summer Volunteer Application with their parent or guardian. Teens must also attend a Summer Volunteen Training session.
