A Note from Lauren:
I’d like to share an important update regarding our service offerings. As we continue to grow and serve our community, I am also committed to ensuring that our programs remain sustainable and thoughtfully managed. As the Executive Director—and our only full-time employee—I need to make adjustments that support both my health and the long-term stability of the organization while living with physical, psychiatric, and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
Effective immediately, the following updates will take place:
Refined Service Offerings
Our training services will now focus on Lana’s Legacy fully trained dogs and therapy dog training and certification. This allows us to dedicate our time and energy to these specialized programs.
Lana’s Legacy Program
The Lana’s Legacy program will now be exclusively dedicated to the training of service dogs, continuing our mission to provide highly skilled dogs to those who need them most.
Updated Therapy Dog Training Structure
To better support teams in their training journey, our therapy dog program will now be offered in two steps:
Step 1: A required private consultation to assess goals and readiness
Step 2: A 5-week group class held on Saturdays at 10:00 AM, designed to build skills in a supportive, structured environment
Therapy Dog Visits
Therapy dog visits will continue. Our teams remain committed to bringing comfort, connection, and joy to the communities we serve.
Food Pantry Program
Our food pantry is temporarily suspended at this time. We deeply value this program and hope to bring it back in the future when we are able to do so sustainably.
These decisions have been made with great care and intention. By narrowing our focus, we are able to continue providing thoughtful, high-quality services while honoring the importance of my health, balance, and long-term sustainability.

This flexible, commission-based position will focus primarily on therapy dog training, with opportunities to expand into service dog and ESA manners classes as well.
