🌟 I’m so honored to share that our 5-minute short concept film, “Water for Dreams,” has been officially selected by @africansmartfilmfestival (ASIFF) 🙌🏽 Glory be to God! We actually shot this film three years ago, in 2023, after seeing the flyer for a short film competition by @martinssamuelstudios I saw it a little late, but I still wanted to submit a project. With just three days, we planned, filmed, and edited the whole thing. 💛 The story is about Amina, a young girl who loves learning and dreams of going to university. She faces many challenges that almost break her dreams, but she never gives up, and keeps pushing forward until she succeeds. One of the biggest challenges was audio, since we didn’t have a proper microphone. We had to get creative, using the phone’s built-in mic, filming in quiet spaces, and timing everything carefully. Then we polished it in post-production. And yes, it was shot entirely on a smartphone! 📱✨ A huge thank you to the amazing team at @ipenstudios for pouring their energy, talent, and passion into this project. This recognition wouldn’t have been possible without you! It’s amazing to see a story created in just three days still inspire people in 2025.
