🎵 Jean Geoffroy Masterclass
Renowned French percussionist Jean Geoffroy will be in residence at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music from December 11–16, 2025, offering an intensive series of masterclasses and artistic workshops.
As an international soloist, Professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, former Head of the Experimental Theatre/Composition Department at CNSMD Lyon, and Co-Founder of the IPEA International Percussion Education Association, Geoffroy brings exceptional artistic insight and a forward-thinking pedagogical approach.

✨ Opening Concert Highlights ✨
On September 30, the 8th IPEA International Percussion Competition opened with an unforgettable concert at the Shangyin Opera House.
Led by Artistic Director Yi-Ping Yang @aimee_ajamais , the Shanghai Conservatory Percussion Ensemble premiered composer Xu Yi’s new work Space-time of the Heart (心迹苍穹) — a mesmerizing journey through sound, philosophy, and nature.
Blending Eastern Zen aesthetics with Western contemporary techniques, Xu Yi created a sound world where rhythm meets reflection, and percussion becomes poetry.
