This event is part of a nationwide effort to create spaces of joy, resistance, and community in support of trans and queer young people, including trans youth sports bans. Whether you’re joining to play, support, or learn, you are part of this movement. Last Friday we celebrated May Day by screening Salt of the Earth, a film about workers who refused to quit, and raised $1,054.46 for Migra Watch in the process. Thank you to everyone who came out and everyone who made it happen. Solidarity Forever! All the photos from the project will be on display and for purchase with all funds going to Intransitive. —————————————————————————— Tyson Banks (He/Him), award-winning photographer, is calling for 10 Trans people from the NWA area to participate in his ongoing “Portraits of Intimacy” series as part of his artist residency at The Medium. Modeling experience not necessary! This project is to help raise awareness for Trans rights, put a face to the Trans community in NWA, and raise funds for Intransitive. Selected participants are asked to sit for a 2hr portrait session at The Medium in Springdale, AR. Participants will receive 2x 20x24” handmade black and white prints, as well as a set of professional digital color photos. Participants’ portraits will be featured in a show on June 26 as part of The Medium’s Visual Arts Night. 100% of funds from any prints sold during the show will be donated to Intransitive. Guys…. ITS PROM SEASON!! This is an event for everyone that didn’t get to be themselves, or didn’t feel safe at their own prom and wants to do it again… but this time with a whole community of queer people!! And of course all the allies are invited too;) Wear your best formal attire and spend your Friday night dancing!🪩 This is an outdoor venue so please plan accordingly! p.s. come prepared for photo opps, and bring your wallet for opportunities to support local queer people and organizations🫶🏻
