Vestiges is now available everywhere! Two years ago, I felt the need to set my emotions to music and accompany my thoughts with melodies. Pain and sadness have slowly coagulated through a mourning process that has flowed between poetry, amplifiers, and microphones. Today, on World Mental Health Day, I feel that this album is a vindication of the importance of communication, of the importance of talking about mental health taboos, of the importance of seeking help. I believe that a little piece of us is here - both our insecurities and fears, as well as our hopes and dreams. We hope you can feel all the love we have put into the process. It's time to pick up the pieces and rebuild with what's left. We would like to thank everyone who has accompanied us throughout this process. To @pebloco for bringing out the full potential of our ideas and for his mastery of the recording studio and mixing desk. To @tumulusdesign for accompanying us throughout this creative process, helping us define the visual appearance of our music. To our friend @amelialeflerharp , an incomparable artist who lent us her voice and her talent on the harp on the album. To everyone else involved in the process and who contributed to the result: Simón from @theemptyhallstudio , Javi from @moontowerstudios , those who lent us an amplifier, a guitar pedal... and even those who helped us with their advice and opinions. The album is available in different formats: ◼️ Limited vinyl edition and T-shirt via our Bandcamp ◼️ Limited tape edition via @fiadhproductions ⚔️🎀 🔗 Links in our bio 🔗 #blackmetal #darkambient #progressiveblackmetal #albumrelease #atmosphericblackmetal #darkfolk

Today, we unveil And Then, Just Nothingness, one of the tracks that make up Vestiges. The lyrics come from the union of two incomplete poems that I started writing many years ago. Verses about deep-rooted frustration and disappointment with oneself, about an inexplicable sense of unease. About a refuge whose foundations are shaking and whose walls are cracking. Those feelings came back to me during the days when I started composing the music for this album, and it all came together in the shape of this vicious song. True to our DIY spirit, the music video was recorded and edited by us, with some help from our friends. The entirety of the footage was captured with a small digital handheld camera, already a few years old and with a few dead pixels here and there. Thanks to @maria_picasso_piquer and @lysmorke for spending so many hours with us during the recording day. Music recorded and produced by @pebloco and mastered by @theemptyhallstudio Pre-orders are now available in different formats: ◼️ Limited vinyl edition and T-shirt via our Bandcamp ◼️ Limited tape edition via @fiadhproductions 🔗 Links in our bio 🔗 #blackmetal #darkambient #progressiverock #progmetal #atmosphericblackmetal #lofivideo

We are very excited to announce that Vestiges, our first album, will be released on October 10th. Vestiges is the result of two years of work - physical and psychological. Two years of sorting through sounds, emotions, memories, thoughts, and words. Two years of looking back and inward. Now it’s time to shout for whoever is there to listen. Time to understand oneself. You will be able to experience it very soon. Pre-orders are now available in different formats: ◼️ Limited vinyl edition and T-shirts via Intraether's Bandcamp (EU) ◼️ Limited tape edition via @fiadhproductions (US) 🔗 Links in our bio 🔗 Recorded at @casatalisio (Madrid) and @moontowerstudios (Terrassa) Produced and mixed by Pablo Bermejo Mastered at @theemptyhallstudio Graphic design and art direction by @tumulusdesign 📷: Tumulus Design, Lys Morke & Alejandro Romero #blackmetal #darkambient #prog #progressiverock #atmosphericblackmetal #newalbumrelease #vinylrecord #cassettetape #bandcamp

A memory from our first rehearsal, which took place at the end of last year, immortalized on 35mm film. Our first time as a trio. Perhaps next time will be as a quartet. We’re writing some new material, maybe just enough to justify a decent-sized set. We might even go back into the studio this year. A lot is up in the air, but it’s all heading in one direction. For now, you can listen to our debut album on any streaming platform to whet your appetite for what’s to come. #atmosphericblackmetal #rehearsals #bandphoto #analogphotography #progressiveblackmetal

One With the Hollow My mind drew the pain inflicted by the feeling of emptiness as endless galleries excavated by woodworm under the skin, creating cavities of great fragility. The descent into meaninglessness could find its end in resentment and submission. Trying to set that stage to music was a challenge I didn't want to dwell on either. The disintegration of shapes and contours. The chaos of a maelstrom of thoughts filled with pain and confusion. The noise. The dissonance. The chaos. And then nothingness. However, that silence is not the end. I've never liked the label ‘depressive’ in black metal music because, in most cases, it ends up glorifying depression and revelling in the deepest psychological distress, something I abhor. Catharsis is always accompanied by liberation, otherwise it is not catharsis. That is why I felt the need to add a different ending to the album. ‘Relief’ is a Mellotron fragment that was discarded during the album's early writing stages because I found it too ‘hopeful’. But my perception of it changed radically when, weeks before finishing the mix of the album, I came across it again. I realised it was the missing piece. The liberation we always aspire to. The answer to the call for help. ✒️: L. Monsabrell #atmosphericblackmetal #darkambient #noisemusic #songwriting #inkdrawing

Reminiscence of I Vestiges explores the emotions associated with existentialist emptiness from multiple perspectives. Memories crowd together, diffuse and distorted, the remnants of who we are. The paths of our mind can wear us down until we are consumed, and sometimes they conjure up images of how everything used to be. The memory of lost glory, of past splendour. I have often thought of Kingitsu as a metaphor that illustrates very well what Vestiges represents. Far from simply displaying the remains of what we were before we broke, it represents reviving, rebuilding ourselves from our fragments, without hiding our scars, what we have been and what we are. Although it is an obvious tribute to the more folkloric and acoustic side of classic black metal, the main influence on this piece comes from the Portuguese new wave and folk group Madredeus. Their music, especially their album O Espirito da Paz, from 1994, has been very present in my life since my childhood, and the melancholy and saudade so intense in their sound, in their voices and in their guitars, marked me forever. As the piece nears its end, the memories fade away. The melodies blur, the chords dissolve, and between them emerge empty spaces where silence takes hold. ✒️: L. We bid farewell to 2025, the year in which our debut album Vestiges was released, bringing two long years of writing and studio work to an end. And we couldn't be happier with the reception our music has received. Many thanks to all of you who have supported us and taken the time to listening to our music over the past few months. Just a month ago, we got together in Barcelona to rehearse for the very first time. What you see in these noisy videos are our first attempts at playing our music together. What began in 2023 as a studio project between two people separated by miles of fields and mountains has now taken shape as a band, joined by our friend A. Romero on bass. We start 2026 with excitement, creating new music and hopefully opening a new chapter where we can present ourselves as a live band. ⚔️🐞🖤

A Shadow Cast on the Void This song was the first I wrote for what would eventually become Intraether. All the chord progressions were written on Mellotron. The idea was to write a sad ballad, inspired by the sound of King Crimson's early records. But circumstances drove me to channel my anger into something more aggressive. That's when I programmed a blast beat, added the tremolo picking guitars and recorded my screams using a webcam microphone. That was the first demo. The title comes from a phrase I wrote years ago to describe an abstract picture: ‘Projection of a shadow on the void’. Some time later, I identified myself with that phrase, proclaiming myself to be the projection of a shadow on the void. "I am a shadow cast on the void". It was the first verse of a poem in which I poured out the sadness and frustration of feeling invisible to the world, non-existent. Each verse illustrates a scene that, through paradoxes, represents a vivid metaphor for the feeling of disappearing or the desire to vanish. Existential emptiness was the source of inspiration for the new musical phase I began with this composition. Exposing these lyrics made me feel very vulnerable so I decided to rely on someone else to accompany me by singing a fragment of it. My friend Amelia was the perfect person for this. Also her style - influenced by Enya, Howard Shore's music and Scandinavian folk - fit perfectly with the sound of Intraether. ✒️: L. In Vacuity Along with In Perpetuity, this is another of the pieces we added when the album's recording was already well underway. We wanted to emphasize the atmospheric component of our music, and expand it by offering something more than just isolated compositions. The narrative becomes more ethereal when the environment integrates with the music; an album that serves as a great example of this is 666 (The Apocalypse of John, 13/18) by Aphrodite's Child (1972). The initial artwork ideas from Tumulus Design already suggested that the setting of Vestiges was framed within an immense, ruined necropolis. An abandoned, desolate city, whose walls are cracking and whose ornaments crumble like clay. Great monuments of iron, now corroded by rust, tower toward the sky in memory of lives and events that no one remembers anymore. The sound of clinking iron and stones hitting and dragging against one another became key elements of the album's sonic atmosphere, along with the various choral elements. The sounds of vultures were added later. It was a fortuitous decision by our producer, Pablo, that we loved, as, together with the throat singing, it transforms the piece into a "recreation" of a sky burial. This is a Buddhist funeral rite commonly practiced in mountainous regions, and its underlying philosophy regarding the vacuity of the body after death has strong parallels with the album's theme. ✒️: L. For DIY projects like ours, where all production costs come straight out of our own pockets, this kind of support is absolutely vital to our survival. And Then, Just Nothingness Nothingness was born from the fusion of two poems written many years ago. Rescuing older ideas and writings is a recurring theme on the album; the past decade was a period marked by great emotional distress, which dragged on for several years and got me writing a lot about how I felt. When depression resurfaced, reading these texts again felt like returning to a familiar place, and it all made sense in the context of the song. Unlike other songs on the album, in which I took unfinished ideas written during that period to shape the lyrics, these texts remain practically as they were written at the time. I have always been aware of the terrible dualism in the lyrics of this poem, as if I were playing with something dangerous. All this time, the fear of making my emotions public has been there. Talking about mental health, about depression, and about the thoughts that often besiege us is difficult. When exhaustion gets the better of us, intrusive thoughts make their presence felt, whispering in our ears in a whirlwind of distorted thoughts and memories that leave us ecstatic. But often it's other voices that make their way through the noise that reaches our ears. The voices we need, the ones that seek to comfort us, that tell us that everything will pass. A call for help. A hand ready to assist us. A person willing to listen. Until all the voices fade away in favor of calm and clarity. Just as I learned to understand myself, I have forced myself to lose my fear of talking about this reality that millions of people live with and that we often keep quiet about, conditioned by the taboo surrounding mental illness. ✒️: L.
