🚨NEW SHOW🚨 @cootiecatcher69 @intheroompresents Toronto’s very own Cootie Catcher join us for their debut in Liverpool! . Their latest album ‘Something We All Got’ is a triumph in twee and jangle, full off-axis instrumentals that whiz by you. Electric guitars fray and detune as songs chug along, live drum grooves from Joseph Shemoun take up arms against the programmed beats, and Chavez’s scratches recall the DJs of ‘90s pop rock. The entire thing is twitchy and uneasy, the soundtrack of being twenty-something and figuring it all out on record. Super excited to have them come and play here // and you should be too! On sale Saturday 25th April 10am // Limited Early Bird // 20% off for members Definitely ones to watch! See ya there ❤️

⚔️ NEW SHOW // @swordii2 ⚔️ We’re delighted to bring @swordii2 to Liverpool on the 10th of September // Presented by @intheroompresents // Tickets on sale Thursday 10am via DICE The enigmatic Atlanta-based three-piece outfit, Sword II, share their debut album Spirit World Tour – a snapshot into the collective’s shared seminal life experiences over the past three years, with potent lyrics that explore refusal, love and rage, degenerates, fluidity, life force and psychological warfare. Starting their journey playing DIY and experimental shows across Atlanta, Sword II have built up a sonic arsenal of boundary pushing music and combining it with politically-charged lyrics. Recorded between 2020-2022 at their Lakewood, Atlanta basement studio, which is located a few houses down from The Dungeon, where The Dungeon Family and Outkast made their first records, one of the band’s biggest sources of inspiration, Spirit World Tour was created over a period of unprecedented times across America and the world. “The album title came to us because we were experimenting with a lot of different styles of music and ways of recording, especially during the pandemic & uprising year of 2020,” explains the band. “That whole summer we were just immersed in that climate, making friends with people on the street, bringing generators and speakers to demonstrations, washing tear gas from our eyes. And then when we would finally go back home, finally to make music, we had a whole new perspective on how we wanted to do things.” Formed in 2018, Mari González (they/them – bass and vocals), Certain Zuko (she/her – guitar and vocals) and Travis Arnold (he/him – guitar and vocals) make up the band – each member coming from different backgrounds within the ATL music scenes. Spirit World Tour was born out of years worth of sessions that were 100% experimental, where guitars would be changed to synths, and then back, real drum kits forged into electronic ones, and speeding up and warping pretty much anything they could get their hands on, the album slowly began to take its shape. 🚨NEW SHOW🚨 18/08/26 @intheroompresents & @noplay.uk present @shearling__official // Tickets on sale Thursday 14th May 10am // can’t wait // read more below !! Serving as a spiritual continuation of the now-defunct Sprain, Shearling exhibits the reunion of a now decade-old collaborative force between guitarists Alexander Kent and Sylvie Simmmons. A subsequent recruiting of percussionist Andrew Chanover, bassist Wesley Nelson, and Keyboardist Elizabeth Carver filled out their orchestrally-minded roster. The band was mostly quiet for its first year of existence, avoiding live performances to instead focus on their brazen debut ‘Motherfucker, I am Both: “Amen” and “Hallelujah”…’ The record retains Sprain’s characteristic commitment to intensity, further mutated through a newfound lens of collagist approach. Featuring only a single, hour-plus long song, Motherfucker is a demanding exhibition of uncompromising ethos. Shearling’s aggressive live performances and meticulous recordings demonstrate an ambition, audacity, and emotional vulnerability that few contemporary bands can parallel. £14adv // on sale Thursday

🚨SUPPORTS ADDED 🚨 @louiemiles_ 29/05/2026 - save the date! @louiemiles_ is joined by @sweltband , @european_taxis & @jedtimmsmusic // super excited for this show, going to be mega! £8adv for members or £10adv online! // swipe along to hear a snippet from the acts // read below for some more info! @sweltband thrive in the tension between restraint and release.Based between Bristol and London, the four-piece channels ’70s folk, slowcore and first-wave post-rock influences into sparse, melancholic arrangements. @european_taxis is a UK-based band formed in 2024 from the Liverpool alternative scene, described as playing a mix of cow-punk, drone, and pop. They are recognized for their energetic live performances, including playing on a docked boat at the Left of the Dial festival, and draw influence from bands like The Vaselines and Spacemen @jedtimmsmusic is now based in Liverpool. While performing, his warm demeanor lulls the audience into a sense of security that’s interrupted by emotionally-raw, subtly complex songs about the difficulty of navigating life. Reminiscent of Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, Rufus Wainwright and Radiohead, his musical output coincides with a love of painting that influences his sound.

🚨NEW SHOW🚨 OCTOBER 8TH @intheroompresents & @quarryliverpool present @ladylike.band ‼️ // £10adv // Members-go-free // cant wait for this one // Tickets available now on dice !! Brighton’s ladylike inhabit a particular kind of quiet The candlelight kind. Natural, controlled, and brimming with a subtle euphoria. Delicately treading the tightrope between folk and post-rock, their sound rolls and retreats. Like an ocean’s patient yet pervasive flaking of landscapes, ladylike tracks herald in a gentle metamorphosis that speaks to renewal, growth and repair. Formed from friendships that predate the band itself, the quartet — Georgia Butler (vocals, guitar), Spencer Withey (vocals, guitar, synth), James Ely (drums), and Archie Sagers (six-string bass) serve their folk rare: raw and pastoral, but with a side of textural, atmospheric builds directly wired into the tensions of the modern world. It’s a formula that has gained them slots at Green Man; Left Of The Dial; The Great Escape; and Dot To Dot, plus supports with Ugly, Mary in the Junkyard and Lime Garden. Early champions at radio and press include KEXP, BBC 6 Music, Apple 1, Radio X, DIY, So Young, and Rough Trade. “We’ve now upgraded to a small, warm and sticky shared practice space that has a lingering smell of yeast from the bakery next door.” divulges Georgia. Despite this, their songs still claim room to inhale and exhale, to meander, and shake loose the dammed-up anomie of modern living with a gentle gut-punch of glorious folk-tinged rapture.

🚨NEW SHOW🚨 @intheroompresents x @wyrmpresents Present @makeshift.art.bar // 15th October // £10adv or Members-go-free // Tickets on sale 1st May! // Makeshift Art Bar, the rising sonic powerhouse hailing from Belfast, is a cultural defibrillator. In a society that increasingly resembles an algorithmic discharge of vapid similitude, they are a caustically vital slab of sonic mayhem. Dangerous, authentic and raw. No-fi, textural disorientation specialists who make experimental noise rock with such primordial aggression that it’s enough to wake a generation from its narcosis of nostalgia fetishism. Joseph Sweeney (lead vocals/guitar/electronics), Callum McGuigan (bass), Alleyah Boulaich (drums) and Callum Sweeney (guitar/lap- steel) summon the nihilistic ideology of punk, the architectural precision of dance, and the dark convulsions of post-industrial pioneers, without conforming to genre convention or expectations. DJs and publications are lining up to call themselves fans with BBC 6Music playlisting the band and granting them a live session; presenter Mary Anne Hobbs describing their track ‘Bedwetter’ as: “Imagine catching the tears of 1980s Bargeld and Cave and using them to wipe down a devastatingly beautiful cafe racer motorcycle.” The band’s brand of emotionally raw, primal catharsis also cut through on wax, peaking at No. 3 in the UK Vinyl Single Charts with their Early Doors Dinked Edition.

🚨NEW SHOW🚨 4TH SEPTEMBER🚨 I am super excited to bring the West-Texas raised trio that is Shallowater (@shallowater.band ) to Liverpool for their debut! I’m also super excited to be working on this with the fantastic @noplay.uk // this is going to be one for the history books! Tickets on sale Friday 1st May (£12adv) 🗓️ Shallowater consist of Blake Skipper (guitar/vocals), Tristan Kelly (bass) and Ryan Faulkenberry (drums) – combine slowcore, post-hardcore, country, and Americana elements that defy genre labels. Quickly establishing themselves as ones to watch in the alt-country/slowcore scene, the power trio’s self-described “raw West Texas dirtgaze” has positioned the band as an evocative and distinctive force amongst current alternative genre-blending projects. The band put out their sophomore record God’s Gonna Give You a Million Dollars in September 2025, garnering support from Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, Alt Press, Beats per Minute, Fantano and more. Produced by Alex Farrar (MJ Lenderman, Wednesday, Indigo de Souza), the record walks the line of country and slowcore, swallowed up with heavy, distorted instrumentals and soft, dynamic reprises - and even a feature from fellow West Texas musician Hayden Pedigo. Support From: Twine (@twineband__ ) Formed in Adelaide in 2021, Twine began as a solo outlet for Katsaras’ experiments in brash, country-inflected rock. Deer in the Headlights follows the Australian Music Prize-nominated debut New Old Horse (2024), a tender yet eruptive exploration of identity and wayward relationships. Known for their exhilarating live shows, Twine have supported Unwound (USA), The Hard Quartet (USA) and Mclusky (UK), and have played sold-out rooms across Australia and New Zealand, with festival appearances at Laneway 2025, Camp A Low Hum, Bigsound and SXSW Sydney. Brought to you by @intheroompresents & @noplay.uk
