We've been working on our audio setup and have swapped to station 107.5 FM for broadcasting at the track for tower music and announcements. Drifting The Plains (DTP) events are our grassroots drift weekends open to drivers of all skill levels. There is up to 3 days of drifting available to drivers that purchase a weekend pass. Bro-Am applications will open on Thursday April 23rd at 12PM Central! *The complete rulebook and application links will be available on Thursday* *This is only an application to compete in the Bro-Am, no payment is required at the time of application* Information: The Bro-Am competitions are run along side the FD Pro-Am competitions on June 13th & 14th and August 29th & 30th. Four separate competitions across 2 weekends. Limited to 16 drivers per competition weekend. No points series, just 4 chances to win a $1000 prize. Tech inspection: Tech will follow the same safety requirements as our DTP rulebook. (You can view that here: /Rules/DTP%20Rules.pdf ) Competition style: Traditional Top 16 bracket seeded by a chip draw. No OMT's (One more times). Tire Rule: Max width of 235mm. Must be a minimum of 300 treadwear. The 2026 drag racing season at Interstate Raceway has been posted! We have a drag weekend each month, May thru Sept including Wally weekends. Check out the Interstate Raceway site for details. Grassroots drag racing operates on extremely tight margins. Across the country, tracks are facing rising costs related to insurance, safety requirements, staffing, and ongoing facility maintenance. This is not unique to one track — it is a challenge affecting the sport as a whole. At this time, we are financially strained while doing everything possible to maintain a safe, professional, and competitive racing environment. Entry fees and ticket sales alone do not cover the full cost of operating a drag strip at the level racers and fans expect. Sponsorships and community support are essential to keeping local drag racing alive. Contributions go directly toward safety improvements, event quality, staffing, and the long-term future of the program. We are deeply grateful for our partners, racers, fans, and supporters.
