I am truly honored to be featured in @phxmagazine as one of their Great 48 Influential People in the Phoenix Valley area. I’m still in disbelief that this moment has come, but I’m deeply grateful to God for continuing to guide me and show me what’s possible through His grace. If it weren’t for the @asupopmusic program this opportunity wouldn’t have been possible. Being able to bring my expertise and passion for teaching into the classroom and share it with students has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I also want to thank my business partner, @quequinnceo We truly met through doing business, and if it wasn’t for his partnership and guidance, I wouldn’t have had the chance to be recognized as an entrepreneur here in the city of Phoenix. This recognition reminds me that my purpose is rooted in service continuing to grow, inspire, and pour into the next generation. We are very excited to announce our newest Faculty Associate, Tuo Clark of da @internz who will be teaching Music Industry Studies in the @asupopmusic program. 🔥🔥🔥 Tuo Clark’s journey in the music industry is a testament to passion, perseverance, and vision. From his early days as a dedicated intern to becoming a 9x Grammy-nominated music producer, Tuo has crafted chart-topping hits for global superstars like Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj. As one half of the renowned production duo Da Internz, his innovative sound has left an indelible mark on the industry. His tenure as Senior Vice President of A&R at Def Jam Recordings saw him championing artists such as Big Sean, Jeremih, and Jeezy, solidifying his reputation as a key figure in artist development and talent discovery. Tuo has joined the Arizona State University School of Music, Dance and Theatre as Faculty Associate teaching Music Industry Studies in Popular Music. Inspired by a profound experience at a music conference, he now imparts his real-world industry knowledge to aspiring musicians. Tuo’s teaching style emphasizes hands-on workshops and practical insights, bridging the gap between academic theory and the dynamic realities of the music business. His goal is to equip students with the skills and confidence to succeed, embodying his philosophy of “Write ya life.” Currently, Tuo is also exploring entrepreneurial ventures, including the opening of a sports bar in Phoenix.
