Big News! For the first time ever my work will be presented in a museum (and for 3 months!).
🙂↕️My art was selected to be a part of the Black Creativity Juried Art Exhibition at @msichicago !
It’s the longest continuous running exhibit of Black art, running for 56 years. The exhibition highlights Black artists for thousands of Museum visitors, and I am so thrilled to be included. You can see my piece from Jan. 19 to April 19.
If you are able to make it take a picture and let me see! I appreciate all of the support as I’ve been pursuing my journey being more dedicated into my artistry. I know I haven’t posted as much as I should but I promise I have a plan!
Some selected works that I am printing for art for the home. Each print is PAY WHAT YOU WANT and comes numbered and signed. 10% of all sales will be donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository & Pilsen Neighbors. Prints will ship mid to late January.

Some selects from my first roll/photo walk for a project centered around community, storytelling, and the integral role of “The Porch”. In short, an anti-thesis of what America instills.
Hoping to make a photo book from this idea in the future (it’ll be some years) & a short film (prospectively filming this Fall) among all of the other endeavors I am doing that I have not yet shared.
Also if anyone would like to go on walks with me or would be a subject let me know please. I do plan on traveling across the United States for this project so just lmk.

As part of a pact I made with myself I will be attempting to consistently post for awhile and share things I’ve done, am doing and will do.
I have a lot of goals and ambitions and I’m putting 100% of myself in.
And yeah lol, without saying too much just know I hate this so I know I have to move forward because comfort is not good and I want to be more comfortable with growth.

July 2020. Roger Dave. Neighbor. A man and his bike.
Don’t know why but last year I was just so interested in how much this man loved his bike that I wanted to take pictures of him enjoying it. Originally the shoot was supposed to be planned and at a location with some of his bike buddies as well but months went by until finally he caught me outside taking pictures of my friend and he interrupted my shoot and said if we could shoot lolol so I did 🤷🏾♂️ in the parking lot of our apartment complex. It was nice to see him smile. One of the few highlights of 2020. He’s has also never seen the edited versions because after I sent him the proofs he didn’t understand how to download or choose which ones he wanted 🤦🏾♂️. Funny guy.
