[ Deutsch in den Kommentaren ] INTERACTION LEIPZIG SAYS GOODBYE - THE PEOPLE, EXPERIENCES AND MEMORIES REMAIN You dear people, we have achieved so much since 2015 and have helped shape Leipzig's city life, welcoming culture and cultural scene for the long term. We have also learned a lot from each other personally. For some people, interaction Leipzig has also been a springboard to new projects, jobs and experiences. Things have gone quiet around interaction Leipzig in recent months. Since the Covid pandemic, there have been fewer and fewer active members. We have not been able to retain our employees since 2023/24 because funding has been cut and we have not been able to recruit any new ones despite our best efforts. Ultimately, the remaining volunteers were no longer able to cope with the bureaucratic workload and lacked the energy to plan further interactions. We therefore decided to close the association at an extraordinary general meeting in July 2024. At the same time, we launched our new website, which gives us the opportunity to keep memories alive and proudly show the wide range of events we have organized. Not only since the last state elections in Saxony on September 1, 2024 have we known that the commitment to a solidary society will become increasingly difficult in the future. For some time now, Saxon organizations and projects in the field of integration and migration have been in crisis. A large number of projects have been unable to work or have only been able to work to a limited extent in recent months due to a lack of funding. There is a threat of a clear-cutting in the Saxon integration landscape. We would therefore like to ask you: Stay or become active! We hope that initiatives and associations that pursue similar goals to those pursued by interaction Leipzig can continue to do valuable work in the future. This work will become even more important in the ever worsening racist and queer-hostile climate in politics and society! Then simply come around to our next open rehearsals on 28.02. & 06.03.! ☺️ As usual, our main inspiration is to create together with you a safe and nurturing space for exploring our voices, inner sounds & musicality. ♥️ At our sessions we will: - warm up our voices & deepen our singing skills through various vocal exercise; - relax & release stress from our bodies through movement, body warm ups, sounding, meditations, breathworks, etc. - explore the collective resonance & develop group intelligence with interactive activities; - practice singing improvisation with interactive vocal games; - develop the feeling of rhythm & harmony; - discover & sing traditional songs from all over the world; - enjoy good vibes & have some nice time together :) So far there is no funding involved, therefore we would be thankful for your donation(recommended amount is 8-15Euros). Sarah Pierce has developed a concept that she calls the “community of the exhibition.” In doing so, she describes exhibitions as places where works of art and audiences form a community - across generations, geographies and times. With “Scene of the Myth,” the GfZK is showing the artist’s first solo exhibition in Germany. In eight expansive installations, performances and video works created over a period of 20 years, she asks what it means to gather, think and act in a community.
