For Doc in Progress participants, consultations offer focused time with experienced mentors. Through individual sessions, each project is explored in depth: its structure, approach, and direction. A chance to refine your film with guidance grounded in practice.
Interaction Doc Workshop is an intensive, seven-day educational programme intended for film professionals, students of film academies, as well as all those who wish to improve their knowledge and skills in making creative documentary films.

Introducing the tutors of Interaction: Doc Workshop!
🇳🇱🇦🇹 Wouter Jansen
Founder of Square Eyes, a Vienna-based festival distribution and sales company focused on bold, author-driven cinema. Through his work, films have premiered and won awards at Cannes, TIFF, Berlinale, Locarno, and Clermont-Ferrand. Wouter is also an expert for Locarno Open Doors and First Cut Lab, has led workshops at IDFA, True/False and VIS Vienna Shorts, and is a Berlinale Talents alumnus.
🇷🇸 Luka Papić
Film director and graduate of HFBK Hamburg, where he studied under Angela Schanelec. His docu-fiction film Without (2022) won the Jury Award for Best Medium-Length Film at Visions du Réel and the Grand Prix at Beldocs, while Invoked (2022), co-directed with Srđa Vuča, premiered in the Envision competition at IDFA Amsterdam.
🇷🇸 Iva Plemić Divjak
Serbian producer and mentor known for collaborations with acclaimed regional filmmakers such as Mila Turajlić, Miloš Tomić, Mladen Kovačević, and Ivan Ramljak. She produced the first ten editions of the Magnificent Seven documentary film festival and mentored emerging documentary projects through regional and international training programs. Iva is a member of the European Film Academy and the EWA network.

Corina Schwingruber Ilić: Finding Your Voice: Artistic Approaches to Documentary Filmmaking
In this workshop, participants explore how documentary film themes can be translated and realized through a unique creative vision. Moving beyond standard reporting techniques, we focus on the creative possibilities of visual storytelling, asking: How can we elevate our documentary subjects into compelling artistic statements?
Filmmaker and editor Corina Schwingruber Ilić will share insights from her own artistic journey with concrete examples, while participants bring their own film projects or thematic ideas to explore diverse strategies for creative implementation together.

Introducing one of the experts of Interaction Doc Workshop — Corina Schwingruber Ilić
Filmmaker based in Switzerland, Corina studied at the University of Arts in Basel, in Belgrade, and at the Lucerne School of Art and Design. She has directed a number of award-winning short documentaries.
Her best-known film All Inclusive (2018) screened at over 250 festivals, including Venice, TIFF, and Sundance, and received more than 30 awards, including the Swiss Film Award. It was also Oscar-eligible in 2020.
Her first feature documentary Dida (co-directed with Nikola Ilić) premiered at Vision du Réel and won the Audience Award at Dok Leipzig. Her latest short Been There premiered at Locarno, where it received a Special Mention and a nomination for the European Film Awards.
Corina is co-founder of Pro Short, the Swiss Association for short films, a member of the Swiss and European Film Academy, and an alumna of Berlinale Talents. Her work continues to explore and expand the possibilities of short documentary form.

Step into the world of creative documentary filmmaking with Rada Šešić — renowned programmer of the documentary competitions at Sarajevo and Trieste Film Festivals.
