📍Oakland Location now open! After three years of practice out of El Cerrito, I’m excited to share that Integrity in Motion has expanded to Oakland! I’ll be operating out of the @levelupwellnesspt space on Fridays and Saturdays. Located on Grand just a few blocks from Lake Merritt, and sharing the space with a group of amazing PTs, I couldn’t be happier with the location and community! I’m continually inspired by helping dancers and yogis achieve new goals and relief in their practices. That can look like realizing the pain in their hip they’ve been pushing through for years can be integrated and absolved for more ease and dare I say joy in moving! Or hearing from yogis that they no longer feel they’re shoulder no longer feels pitched or limited in downward dog. 👉If you’ve been struggling with chronic pain, lingering injuries, or reduced mobility, I look forward to seeing you. Do not suffer through or let these things persist when recovery is so possible. 👉Book online at my link in bio or send me a message if you have any questions.

In honor of Jupiter entering Cancer today, I’d love to re-introduce myself to new faces,  and highlight the unique ways I offer care and support! My name is Derek and I’m a Structural Integration Practitioner. I work with movement professionals and enthusiasts who are struggling with chronic pain, limited mobility, and lingering symptoms from injury to bring ease and adaptability in their bodies. I love working with dancers, yogis, and movement lovers of all types who are ready to excel in their practice and overcome persistent pains they’ve accumulated over their active lifestyle. If you work hard to stay active, mobile, and in tune with your body—but still find moving well comes with nagging tension or old pain that lingers, then you’re in the right place. Whether it’s that ‘weird’ low back pain that comes after a long day, that stuck shoulder that keeps you from moving your fullest,  or that right side that never quite moves like the left, I’ve worked with clients to unwind the systemic patterns that leave them feeling stuck, so they can finally find full freedom in movement again. Because at our best, our bodies are designed to be fluid, adaptable and integrated, no matter what age we are at. Curious how we can work together? Head on over to my link in bio to book a free consultation call, and we can discuss the right type of treatment plan for you. Thank you for being here and making it possible to share what I love.

Saturday, Dec 7th | 10a-12pm ~Finding Your Fluid Body with Derek DiMartini. 💫 Reconnect with the innate fluidity of your body and discover how your fascial web can be a source of support and strength. Finding Your Fluid Body is a somatic workshop that blends gentle partnering, imagery-based exercises, and integral anatomy to help you embody ease, connection, and resilience.
Drawing on movement practices from Structural Integration (Hellerwork, Mary Bond) and Eastern dance traditions (Noguchi Taiso, Leimay Ludus), this class creates a playful, inquisitive environment open to people of all abilities. 🔥Derek DiMartini (he/him) is a queer + multiracial choreographer, movement artist, and bodyworker. In all of his practices, his work emphasizes the transformative and enigmatic nature of the human body, and seeks to leave people with a broader appreciation of the depth and intelligence inherent in the physical form. His movement practice spans a broad range of disciplines, including butoh, circus, modern dance, experimental theater, Feldenkrais, and integral anatomy. As a certified Structural Integration practitioner, Derek employs a holistic approach with his clients, blending fascial release, biomechanics, movement awareness exercises, and visceral manipulation to address patterns of chronic pain, strain, and resistance in the body. For more info on his bodywork offerings find him on instagram @IntegrityInMotion or integrityinmotionsi.com Photo by Juan Palhiac Image Description: Graphic image with above date, time and place information. Neck tension is a pain point for most people. To fully treat it, we have to bring our head in a better relationship to our shoulder girdle and spine. #rolfmethod #structuralintegration #necktension #bayarea #integrityinmotion

Integration means finding ease. So often we find ourselves working in spite of our body instead of with it. When we are able to give our bodies a foundation for support, suddenly life can get a whole lot easier. #structuralintegration #rolfmethod #alignment #bodywork #integrityinmotion
