Finding Your Fluid Body is a somatic workshop that blends gentle partnering, imagery-based exercises, and integral anatomy to help you embody ease, connection, and resilience.
â¨Drawing on movement practices from Structural Integration (Hellerwork, Mary Bond) and Eastern dance traditions (Noguchi Taiso, Leimay Ludus), this class creates a playful, inquisitive environment open to people of all abilities.
đĽDerek DiMartini (he/him) is a queer + multiracial choreographer, movement artist, and bodyworker. In all of his practices, his work emphasizes the transformative and enigmatic nature of the human body, and seeks to leave people with a broader appreciation of the depth and intelligence inherent in the physical form. His movement practice spans a broad range of disciplines, including butoh, circus, modern dance, experimental theater, Feldenkrais, and integral anatomy.
As a certified Structural Integration practitioner, Derek employs a holistic approach with his clients, blending fascial release, biomechanics, movement awareness exercises, and visceral manipulation to address patterns of chronic pain, strain, and resistance in the body.
