So happy to spotlight indipendent designers and brands Francesco Murano, Meryll Rogge, Tamme, Zomer, Diotima and Pauline Dujancourt in the latest issue of the @financialtimesfashion Art of Fashion πThank you to all the writers who contributed and made this portfolio particularly special πΊ You'll find Art of Fashion free inside the @ft_weekend today and tomorrow + my story on Laopu in case you missed it xx
Back on my favourite beat (China + consumer + luxury) π§ββοΈ For this week's @ft_weekend I wrote about Chinese brand Laopu, a purveyor of finely crafted gold jewellery that combines Chinese heritage with a modern edge, and why it has been an outlier in the Chinese luxury market, where appetite for splurging on expensive products by western brands is dwindling. Aaand the latest Art of Fashion issue is out π¨π¨ with a great cover story on Calvin Klein's Veronica Leoni by Lauren Indvik, my interviews with Pauline Dujancourt and Francesco Murano, Isabel Marant by Carola Long and a lot more to read for your bank holiday weekend π 𦦠pick up a copy of the paper this weekend or link in bio
Who's afraid of white linen trousers? ππ»ββοΈ I am, especially when worn by packs of teenagers on holiday. But I tried some on anyway because I take my job very seriously. I love doing these trend stories because I always start from omg I'll never wear that and mostly end up with mmm ok ok I can see it...which really is a great life lesson in trying things out even when you think they might not be for you π§ββοΈ this said, will I buy a pair of white linen trousers? No I will not, but they do look pretty cool so as always listen to the teens. Link in bio or paper tomorrow xoxo
πΈ: cool ladies in (possibly) linen trousers: Christy Turlington, Faye Dunaway, Renee Perle, Jerry Hall + me in my favourite pair I tried on
