Last night we attended the SF premiere showing of @fitch.anna and @bankerwhite 's magical film, "YO - Love Is A Rebellious Bird," a singular meditation on friendship, life and mortality, that could only have come from these two filmmakers. We highly recommend everybody see it when they are able. ❤️

Slim is my ongoing project of exploring the the deep roots of country music by Just Doing It; "Stealin' Porn" is my cover of & heartfelt homage to the classic country instrumental "Stealin' Corn," by Merle Haggard's backing band, the Strangers 🙂
In particular, the original (Corn) really showcased the insane talents of Roy Nichols on guitar and Norm Hamlet on pedal steel. In this, my cover version (Porn), I learned the hard way that while the song sounds light and fun, in fact this stuff is freaking hard! Those guys were the masters straight up. Boom.
