The Tortelier Family playing Handel’s Trio Sonata in G-Minor 393. Maud and Paul with the cellos and Maria Tortelier at the piano. The Tortelier household was a complete music household. Paul’s wife, Maud, was a great cellist herself. Paul’s daughter, Maria was also a great pianist but not very well known. Paul’s son, Yan Pascal, is a an accomplished conductor and violinist. Tortelier withdrew his children from school at a young age so that they could concentrate on music and nothing else.
