INSIGHTS Into Childrenâs Temperament works âand the outcomes last!
In a randomized clinical trial, INSIGHTS was conducted in kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms and resulting in impressive immediate results.
Recently an independent follow-up study was conducted by MDRC.
The positive impacts on reading and math that INSIGHTS produced in the primary grades continue into middle school for children from low-income families.
In addition, the same children had fewer special education placements.

Last weekend was a big one for INSIGHTS. Sandee presented a new study at the Occasional Temperament Conference at Texas A & M. The results showed that the new technology-enhanced INSIGHTS was even more effective in improving childrenâs reading skills and sustained attention and in reducing their disruptive behavior problems than the previous in-person version.
Another presentation at the temperament conference by Kathleen Rudasill explained how INSIGHTS was effective in rural midwestern communities, especially for boys. Unfortunately, Kathy was not able to attend, so Sandee presented on her behalf.
Meanwhile, back in Connecticut, Heather Nunes exhibited INSIGHTSâ afterschool program at the Connecticut Network for Children and Youth conference.
Dr. Sandee had a terrific time presenting INSIGHTS and resolving dilemmas at the mEducation Alliance Global Symposium. Thanks to the mEducation Alliance for inviting us!
