It’s about motherhood through movement, and making art while parenting. Visually, we’re pulling their performance beyond the stage and into the home — where care, chaos, and creativity meet.

Our upcoming performance in Cincinnati is a chance to see Inside Voices in a totally new way. The contemporary dance theater is a historic, old building without the traditional stage lights, curtains and magic. This is an opportunity to see the show in a unique, raw and intimate way. We’ve been reflecting on how to lean into this- to let ourselves be fully exposed and to let the natural light pour in and break down the barrier between audience and performer. We hope you’ll join us there.

What a journey. For all five of us performing in @insidevoices_danceperformance this work really started with the birth of our children and the rebirth of ourselves as mothers in new bodies, with new priorities and with a whole new shift on the way we interact in this world. This show is so valuable to us for so many reasons…because it’s taken A LOT to make it happen, because these stories are personal and precious, and because for many of us this is an opportunity to reclaim a piece of ourselves as movers, as artists, as performers and to give ourself permission to be the multifaceted, creative people that we are. 💗
