Without being too heavy handed (oof, nevermind, I feel it coming) I wanted to share some conceptual context for the record. Within the past couple years, AI has popped a metaphysical threshold, inviting the hyperstitional whims of technocrat ideologues in neo-fascist think tanks to reveal a labyrinth of hegemony, aesthetics, and the occult, all the while surveillance tech makes itself irrefutable and omnipresent, the state fastens its grip on civilian life, and capital attempts to be reborn as a consciousness. This has plunged the indeterminate and uncertain, narratively confabulated western mind into paranoias, psychoses, neuroses, and delusions religious to political to sexual, as in this vacuum towards the future, the heaviest of plosives careen in first, our most tantalizing and psychosexual of fears, who we really are. Making this album I bored rabbit holes in the accelerationist fabrics deeper than I thought they could go, had my own dalliances with mania and delusion, took note of as much as I could. Ultimately, to me this album has been about choosing curiosity, creativity, openness, and humanness when the only other options are rot out or go insane. Choosing action, grass, praxis when the head trip stops making sense. Textures… grooves… what does it mean? You will have to experience for yourself… I worked real hard on this (NO AI obv) and I hope it connects with u and treats u as strangely and kindly as it has treated me this past year. MUCH LOVE!!!
