This is a tribute to Dr Jane Goodall, who was not just an absolute powerhouse of a woman with an incredible career and a global impact but also just a kind and incredible human being. After her passing in October 2025 the world lost a bright star, but her legacy lives on in so many more stars around the world.
So here I ask this question: Female role models. Do we need them? All I can say is that after the age of 30 I realised that I didn't really have any - all the artists, scientists and discoverers that I'd encountered were mostly men. This shaped me. Made me who I am. But since I went down the rabbit hole of discovering female role models and painting them, my life has felt fuller. I could finally relate. I started to understand things I hadn’t before.
So it is a special honour to host this show in collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute Austria
@janegoodall_austria - their support is everything. And the fact that I can actually make a difference and contribute through my work to their charitable projects is beyond fulfilling.
It is my pleasure to invite you to the opening of Women Groundbreakers in Vienna, Austria, at the InsideOut Gallery (Kirchengasse 33) on 7th May 2026 from 6pm onwards, with the statements and support from the ambassadors from the Jane Goodall Institute and Sheconomy Austria, who are media partners for the show.
The event is also supported by Coca-Cola Austria.
