Palma in spring ☀️
We recently met with Hotel Director Jonathan Liu at Nobis Hotel Palma, set within a 12th-century building in the heart of the old town.
Asked about a detail he never tires of, he describes the staircase leading up to Mirall, where preserved walls in the bar quietly reveal the history of the house.
A space that has become a moment of its own.
Wingårdhs was responsible for the interiors, together with Jordi Herrero Arquitectos and Eduardo Garcia Acuna Arquitectos, shaping a contemporary hotel within one of Palma’s oldest buildings.

Something quite wonderful is happening underneath the golden bridge. This new place weaves together the Old Town with the heights of Söder. The bridge becomes a roof for a newcomer — one that drew its inspiration from a classic relative at the Opera House, not far away.
Here a glimpse of all the deliciousness waiting for you beneath the bridge. accompanied by a 80s favorite.

Magasin 211 has been constantly reinventing itself to meet new needs ever since it was first built in 1917. We just tapped into the building’s energy and threw in our own. One plus one became three. Call it architectural aikido.

At @arcrooftop , Stockholm’s skyline sets the backdrop. Asian fusion flavors define the menu, and the Northern Towers rising just next door.
Our interior still stands strong, now a few years in — exactly as it should. This little gem was created with great love and affection, and it continues to be looked after with the same gentle hands. And when a place is cared for, it lasts. Just as it should. 🤍

An old soap factory that turned into an olive oil mill, then a home, then a bar — and finally a hotel.
Concepcio sits right where Palma’s old town meets Santa Catalina. The locally made floor tiles raised a few eyebrows at the opening, but they’re also what really anchor the hotel to its place in the world. Handmade in Campos a few miles east of Palma, using techniques practiced for centuries. Contemporary bold patterns uniquely designed for Concepcio.

The Copper Room
During the renovation at @nastinnovationdestination , we stumbled upon copper hidden inside the walls of the main boardroom — a relic from a time when copper was used to counteract surveillance.
We left some of it left exposed as a mural, a quiet reminder of another era. The rest we put to use in other ways — including a small kitchenette.
And with @brabyggab as partners, the result may not be stain-less (hehe) — but it’s definitely sharp.
Don’t you love before-and-after images?
There was something there already. A structure, a sense of space, certain details. Yet much was missing as well — sensuality, clarity, and perhaps relevance too.
Whether we’ve succeeded is for others to decide, but it certainly feels as though a sense of dignity has been brought back.
Happy new years! Let’s hope for a peaceful 2026 ✨

The guest rooms of Hagastrand are reimagined as bespoke, tranquil retreats.
A subtle nod to 1990s postmodernism: a striped panel wall wraps the room. It works as a headboard, protects exposed surfaces, conceals new installations and gives the space a tailored, custom-made feel.
Materials chosen to endure. To age with grace. To welcome wear. Furniture made to be repaired, not replaced. Rooms designed to stay.

TAK — the Swedish word for “roof.” At Brunkebergstorg, overlooking Stockholm’s rooftops.
The building’s 1970s character set the tone for the interior. The brass was inspired by Gryning (“Dawn”), the monument that once stood in the square. The era’s fascination with structuralism — its systems and flexibility — can be traced in the rhythm of the ceiling, the screens and the tracks in the polished concrete floor.
The semi-transparent screens were born from a desire to frame without closing off. A subtle nod, too, to chef Frida Ronge’s approach of applying Japanese methods to Swedish ingredients. The ceiling sits low and therefore required a little extra care.
Our interior was awarded @wallpapermag Best Restaurant 2018. A proud moment — yet the real satisfaction lies in how gracefully it continues live and thrive still.

Part two in the story of Hagastrand introduces a 2,500-square-metre spa and wellness world — a spatial choreography between heat and cold, vibration and stillness, sound and silence.
What was once part of a garage with few spatial qualities has been reimagined into a calm, fluid landscape. Daylight enters through a new skylight and a sunken garden opens the interior toward Hagaparken — creating a connection to nature and the cool waters of Brunnsviken.
Highlights include a snow room with sub-zero temperatures, a generous event sauna accommodating up to sixty (!!) guests — and a gongmatic room where you are immersed with vibrations. A piece of art created by @grottasonora
What a joy to create rooms for nourishing the body and soul!

A bowl and a ball. A game of equilibrium!
On the occasion of its 10th anniversary Zanat invited, its design partners to create a series of small objekts that celebrate the meeting of craft, heritage and contemporary design. The result is a collection of unique objects each reflecting the creative language of its author while carrying the imprint of Zanats hand carving tradition - recognized by UNESCO as a part of our humanity’s intangible cultural heritage.
Our contribution is a bowl, and a ball….
♥️ @zanatcraft & happy 10th! So glad that we were invited from the very beginning!
There’s a new kid in town!
Hagastrand — the latest addition to the Nobis family — located right by the shores of Brunnsviken in Hagaparken.
Our mission has been to awaken a weary child of the 1990s and to make it relevant once again. To let it stand proud, and give it new purpose. Not by demolition and rage, but rather through care and a gentle hand. Yet the transformation is anything but subtle.
