From the moment I had the idea for this community art space I knew it HAD to happen.
There have been many phases in this journey since the idea formed. Some more fun than others.
Right now, I’m in the “trust the process/vision” phase.
We got everything moved in this past weekend and it looks like a crafters hoarding room 🤣 but I can still see the vision underneath it all. It’s there!
I can’t wait to announce when we are ready for the “grand opening” phase.

Somewhere along the way, creativity became something we had to be good at.
Something productive.
Something worth sharing.

In Process is a space to return to something simpler.
To sit down and make something without pressure, without expectation, without needing it to be good.
You don’t need experience.
You don’t need a plan.
You don’t even need to know what you’re making yet.
Just a willingness to begin.
This space is being built for the in-between:
the experimenting, the undoing, the remembering.

A place for adults to create at their own pace, in thoughtful community, and reconnect with creativity as something we experience, not something we have to be good at.
If you’ve been part of Art of the Heart, you know how deeply I believe that creativity is a part of our wellbeing, not something extra.
In Process is an extension of that.
A new community art space where adults can come to create, without pressure, perfection, or expectation.
No experience needed. No finished product required.
Just time, space, and community.
We’re not open just yet,
but I’ll be sharing more as it unfolds.

Something new is unfolding.
In Process: An Open Studio for Creative Exploration is a new project by @artoftheheartstudio
This will be a membership-based creative space for adults who want time, space, and community to make art without pressure or perfection. Located on Main Street in Beech Grove.
No experience needed.
No expectations for what you create.
Just space to explore.
The studio isn’t open just yet, but we’ll be sharing the journey as it unfolds.
