Well, in typical unorthodox West family fashion, I’m excited to announce that @whitthespook said yes when I asked her to be Mrs. West. My mama was gracious enough to gift us the Carner family diamond that has been living life as a necklace for the past forty plus years, which we’ll be setting into a ring as soon as we’re able. This last week’s been super busy — and honestly, super fun — working on a new track called “Pathetic.”
It’s one of those songs that showed up like a confession you can’t stop humming — part humor, part heartbreak, part late-night clarity.
Huge thanks to @samdensmore & @inparallel68 — two legends who bring the perfect mix of focus and chaos to every session.
Cory laid down drums and some wild guitar textures, Sam kept the ship steady, and I even managed to strum my acoustic - thanks to @blackbookguitars — between laughs and takes.
There’s nothing like watching an idea become real sound in a room full of friends.
Grateful for the creative energy here in Portland and grateful for Trevor at @arcaneamps — & @spacemaneffects — maker of non-idiot proof pedals - and excited to keep growing the circle, one track (and one weird inside joke) at a time.

These two have been there since before I was big enough to even hold a guitar much less play it. They were there at my first public performance, showed me countless bands, taught me how to play power chords, saw my high school band play a bunch of times, and even showed me how to Ollie on a skateboard. The more I think about it, they may be the two most influential people in my musical life besides my dad. Thanks for the memories, the hang, and for making me listen to Guided by Voices all those years ago.

After almost 10 years since we last rocked, THE DC’s return to the stage. We’d like to thank our founding brothers @lemieuxkelly and @tommypiersonjr for encouraging us to keep the rock rolling with some new faces.
