This weekend we’ve been deep in the process of reviewing this year’s applicants. While doing so, it felt like the perfect time to reflect on the past couple of years and the amazing people we’ve had the chance to work with, along with their incredible work. 📣 LIVE: Open Call for Innovations Dance Platform 2026 Our open call is live and submissions are coming in for this year’s platform. We are keen to hear from artists with new work to share, bold ideas and diverse creative voices. You can submit your work using our standard form or by using the alternative format from to upload your submission in video or audio form. ✅ Key information is listed on our website (Link in bio ⛓️‍💥) and you can also join one of our open virtual sessions to ask questions and say hello! SUBMISSIONS CLOSE: Friday 27 February. • Works must be complete and ready for presentation to public and, press industry audiences. • Artists and companies applying from outside of the UK should have support in place to cover international travel where possible. • Works should be 20-30min duration and suitable for a black box theatre space as part of a mixed bill showcase. 💭 🙋 Got Questions? Meet @jessicastellon.borihuels One of the incredible duos featured in Innovations 2025. Jessica Castellón and Boris Orihuela, choreographers and dancers from Cádiz, blend urban dance, contemporary movement and physical theatre into a hybrid, visceral and narrative style that links the body with cinematic aesthetics. Graduates in Choreography and Performance from the Conservatori Superior de Dansa de València Nacho Duato, they have collaborated with companies such as Taiat Dansa, Cie. Allongé and artists including Dickson Mbi and Candela Capitán. Their works have won awards at Burgos-New York, Premis Òrbita and CortoinDanza. Recognised by the Spanish Network of Theatres, their creations explore identity, physicality and the social responsibility of art.
