Release day has arrived and I AM EXCITED AND HAPPY AND EXCITED ✨
It’s not every day you walk into a pub open mic and end up finding a community, so I am feeling very special and super grateful that I walked into @therailwaytulsehill with my guitar on a Sunday night many moons ago 🌙
I would have never met my friend and producer @seantblake who suggested we do a track together and we wouldn’t have these beautiful vocal swells intertwined with 20 layers of synths. Truly one of the most creative collaborations I have ever worked on and I’m excited for what we cook up next!
Perhaps this is the beginning of my love letter to South London, a perfect example of what happens when you leave the countryside with your guitar singing folky love songs. You come to London and find yourself in a basement studio channelling a dark-folk, ethereal soundscape.
