Today sees the full release of Sun Divider, the mesmeric four track EP from Atli Örvarsson and Talos, it is the first music from Talos since his untimely passing in August this year.
Speaking about the new EP, Talos reflected: “The songs are dynamic and twist from small whispers to grand cinematic sweeps. They paint pictures of lost loves, lost spaces and reflect on lessons learned from hardships. They are sung from a place of sturdiness, from a place where life’s lessons have created solid foundations from which new life can sprout from.”
Record out today! ‘YEARS’ is out everywhere on @innimusic
Visuals by @axlsouetre
Music by @internationalpartygirl + @logothetti of @jamessupercave
Born from a longstanding visual and sonic collaboration, this music was originally composed for the film X for @sovrnskateboards . With no pressure to meet a deadline, both the film and this record were allowed to unfold in their own time. Ideas accumulated, shifted, disappeared, resurfaced. These tracks are the ones that made the cut.
It took years.
Takk! My soundtrack for the mushroom documentary series 'Svepparíkið' was nominated as the best score of the year at the Icelandic Music Awards! Thanks!
YEARS is a collection of left-field electronica originally written for SOVRN: X, a 14-minute, visually driven skate film blending skating, animation, and photography. The music, composed and produced by Joaquin Pastor and Patrick Logothetti of James Supercave, emerged from their long-running creative relationship with SOVRN’s creative director, Alexandre Souêtre.
As James Supercave, Pastor and Logothetti - alongside bandmate Andrés Villalobos - have spent over a decade shaping a distinct voice in indie and alternative pop, releasing multiple EPs and two full-length albums, touring extensively across North America with artists such as Warpaint, Crystal Castles, and Jungle, and music placements across film, television, and global brand campaigns. That same instinct for melody, texture, and emotional pacing quietly underpins YEARS, even as it moves further into experimental terrain.
Souêtre has shaped the visual identity of their work since the beginning, and the aesthetic and sonic language between these collaborators has grown into something instinctive, almost familial. With no pressure to meet a deadline, both the film and this record were allowed to unfold in their own time. Ideas accumulated, shifted, disappeared, resurfaced. These tracks are the ones that made the cut.
It took years. The first single ‘AKIRA’ is out this Friday on INNI (@internationalpartygirl / @logothetti / @jamessupercave / @axlsouetre / @sovrnskateboards )
The music for The Fires was composed largely before filming began, shaped through early conversations between director Ugla Hauksdóttir and composer Herdís Stefánsdóttir. Inspired by the real eruptions on the Reykjanes peninsula — and by the turbulence of loving deeply — Herdís created a central theme that threads its way through the entire film.
As the story unfolds, that theme shifts and transforms, revealing new layers and perspectives. It carries the tension of the earth and the emotional complexity of the protagonist’s journey: her passion, her connection with her daughter, and the quiet grief of a marriage starting to fracture.
The Original Soundtrack for The Fires is out now.

Alexandra Hamilton-Ayres (@ahamiltonayres ) celebrates the release of her new album ‘Lucid Distance’, out now via Icelandic label INNI (@INNImusic ).
Recorded while Alexandra was five months pregnant, the ten-track collection marks the first music ever captured within the technical heart of the European Space Agency in the Netherlands.
The result is an album like no other; completely immersive, with a mesmerising depth and warmth.

TJARA is a new Reykjavík-based collaboration between Francesco Fabris, Kjartan Holm, and Sin Fang. Fabris is an Italian interdisciplinary artist, experimental composer, and musician working with audiovisual pieces. Holm and Sin Fang are also known for their work with Fischersund, creating live scent performances with Jónsi of Sigur Rós that blur the line between concert, installation, and ritual.
With TJARA, the trio channel noise, ambient drift, and fractured visuals into an experience that feels less like a show and more like stepping into another environment. They performed their debut concert at this year’s @soundsfromasafeharbour festival in Cork, Ireland.
‘Lifeform’ is the new single from composer and sound artist Alexandra Hamilton-Ayres, out now via Icelandic label @innimusic . The track is the second to be unveiled from her forthcoming album ‘Lucid Distance’ (7th November), a landmark project that became the first music ever recorded in Europe’s largest reverberation chamber, the L.E.A.F. room at the @europeanspaceagency ‘s ESTEC in the Netherlands.
“On 5th December 2023 I started to write again, all because I heard a beat. Not just any beat, but my daughter’s heart inside my body. I was captivated that two joined living beings could have two different rhythms and carry themselves together. I sampled the handheld Doppler microphone in the midwife appointment, as she kicked and hiccuped. The experience of these two rhythms, much like a journey into motherhood, was so soft and tender yet violent and surprising at the same time. It felt like the start of something and so it became the opening of the album.”
This piece, ‘Lifeform’, provides the perfect taste of ‘Lucid Distance’, encapsulating the sense of isolation and transformation Hamilton-Ayres felt while suspended in the colossal ESA chamber, navigating themes of distance, escapism and rebirth.
