Introducing [Nikko Washington, NBHD GALLERY]
Nikko Washington, is an interdisciplinary artist born and raised in Chicago; working primarily in paint, objects, and community. In his new body of work Vs, Nikko paints with oil a series of abstract portraits and objects that depict the artists, musicians, activists in his community that is Chicago. The narratives in his work are often cloaked with Greek and African Mythology depicting the shared familial experiences of growing up in Chicago. Through these personal remixed stories, he constructs faces, strokes, and fleeting moments to archive his community.

Introducing [Randy Perez, NBHD GALLERY]
Randy Perez is a multimedia artist whose work merges a melody of cultural influences from urban cowboys, horses, graphic illustrations and apparel, capturing a juxtaposition of ideas on canvas and paper, all which jockey for prominence. His practice extends to music production and clothing design. Many of the artist's influences are relevant elements of his social and physical upbringing in Mexico the Midwest, and Los Angeles, where he now lives and works.
