[inner view] 002
Being in the room with these two artists was deeply inspiring. They shared with openness, foresight, and maturity, a real understanding of meaning. This time of filming isn’t about performance or perfection, it’s about reinforcing that meaning and remembering why we do this. Why we sing. What we’re singing for. A reminder that it’s already written, and that we are simply vessels for something far greater.
Arriving early and settling into the space before the room fills with people is so important. Life moves fast, and the day of a show is always hectic, so having this moment of quiet feels grounding. We’re deeply grateful for it.

I love recording these sessions just as much as the show itself, because they remind me not to worry. They remind me that the word of God doesn’t always live in a book, sometimes it arrives in a lyric, or in a song a friend sings at exactly the right moment.
Both of these songs rang especially true for me this week. I laid my grandpa to rest yesterday, and at his funeral I sang a medley of them both. I didn’t have the words of my own, but I still wanted to pass on a message to honour him, and to reach whoever needed to hear it. THIS LIFE IS NOT PROMISED / ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS CALL :)
You can’t rush true art. It arrives when it’s ready. This art has been brewing behind the scenes and now is ready to be shared.
I look forward to you getting to know them too. And if you already do, I’m sure you’re well aware of their bright radiance.
See you tomorrow :)
Good tidings,
Jamie
