Often in life we spend so much time planning for an event that when we are in it there is no real time for reflecting on the present, then before you know it, it’s behind you in the past. My Roadburn was no different, it felt lightning fast. Looking back all I can say personally that my set at The Engine Room was extremely cathartic in a way I didn’t even know I needed until it presented itself. Forever thankful to everyone who had kind words and conversations with me at random times over the entire weekend. And so much gratitude to Walter & Becky for the invitation to return and to all of the staff behind the scenes that truly make this the amazing festival it is. It was great to watch so many amazing performances (I’m sure I missed a lot too) and to be able to have face to face conversations with old friends, some of which we meet for the first time in person over the weekend. Thanks. Also to my wonderful wife for being the rock of support and help in my life it was so great to share this one with you and get a quick bit of rest and relaxation in Iceland on our way home. My summer is going to be slow, I only have a couple things booked but Autumn I’ll be digging in again.

So I know the corporate office made a post about it earlier in the week but I felt like making a quick one too. This time next week I’ll be in Tilburg Netherlands as part of an incredible line up at Roadburn. It’ll be my first performance in Europe in 8 years. There will be two very different ways to see/experience PFB over the weekend. 1st off on Friday at 320pm (1520) I’ll be at The Engine Room, this set will be pretty much the European debut of the sets I toured for ICIE around the US, with a surprise or two. So essentially pfb in rock formation. The second way is On Sunday at 610pm (1810) I’ll be at the Hall of Fame performing a drone set. It’s a bit more than just drone but I’m not great with naming/describing things, what’s makes it special is that this is only the 3rd time I’ve ever done one of these sets outside of Wilkes-barre, i create pieces based on a rough map of ideas with lots of room for improvising, karla said the piece I’ve been working on for Roadburn feels like Boris and Hans zimmer doing music for interstellar, I don’t fully see it myself but I take it as a great compliment. actually there’s a 3rd way to experience pfb during the weekend and that’s just I’ll be around taking the whole festival in so if you see me don’t be afraid to say hello. 📷 by @jaredlenore

Planning For Burial will be back to Roadburn next week after his appearance in 2018. “For years and years and years Roadburn, from a fans perspective, has always been thee festival for me. Their curation for me has always been a step above the rest. So when I was originally asked to perform many moons ago it was beyond any of my wildest dreams. I can’t wait to come back and experience some of my favorite artists, see some familiar faces and meet/hear some new ones.” Thom Wasluck will play two sets at Roadburn this year - one ‘regular’ set, where he will play material from his full length albums, and one more experimental which leans towards improvised drone and ambient sounds. 📍 Friday 17 April (regular set) & Sunday 19 April (drone set) Don’t miss our Flenser artists at the fest: @your.crippling.alcoholism @agriculture_music @dan__meyer_kneeling Tickets for Roadburn 2026 are available via roadburn.com/tickets

13 years ago I went out for some drinks with this cute girl from work and we just never stopped hanging out. 10 years after that we made it official by getting married. So glad the universe paired us up and I get to spend each trip around the sun with you.

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a “quiet” set so I decided since I’m sure NEPA is tired of my shit or just doesn’t care I’m gonna do a little hybrid of a quiet and drone set this Saturday at Union Vapors in Dickson City PA.
