When I first started tattooing, I dealt with a lot of self-doubt and imposter syndrome. I constantly compared myself to artists with years more experience and felt frustrated that I wasn’t where I wanted to be yet.
There were honestly many times where I wanted to give up, but I’m so glad I didn’t.
If you’re a new artist reading this: while I know it’s hard not to compare yourself, it’s very important that you don’t.
I wasn’t always as steady as I am now; but with time, patience, and practice, I got there- and I believe that you will too. :)
I’m also extremely grateful to every client who trusted and believed in me when I was just starting out…. I would not be here without your trust and I am so, so thankful. 😭
Even though I may still not be where I want to be yet, I’m not where I used to be. And for that, I’m grateful.
