Hi 👋 I’m Tom, I’m a freelance editor and I run Ink Editorial. I live in rural Northamptonshire with my wife, my two toddlers, Z+K, and my dog, Sid. When I’m not editing and writing, I’m working on our #sprinterconversion.
I've worked in books for fifteen years. I was a literary agent and a commissioning editor for bestselling, prize-winning authors.
Last year, I took the plunge and set up my own editorial consultancy, Ink Editorial. I love that it gives me the opportunity to work on editorial projects at every different stage — from concept development to manuscript assessment to developmental editing and beyond.
I believe that honesty is the best approach to editorial work, and I treat the writers I work with with the utmost respect. My primary objective is to help a writer move towards a place where they are writing their best work, and I love forging lifelong, creative relationships with authors.
