1- Arrive without eating first🍴
Always make sure you eat a meal before coming for your tattoo, especially if you’re getting a bigger tattoo. The last thing you want is to be hungry mid session. (I always have snacks for you) BUT be sure to EAT something BEFORE coming. Getting a tattoo on an empty stomach increases the risk of dizziness, nausea, fainting, or intense shaking due to a sharp drop in blood sugar caused by adrenaline and physical stress.
2- Show up with numbing cream on, especially before discussing it with me🚫
A lot of people put numbing cream on the wrong way OR sometimes the brand that people use is just not a reliable quality. All numbing creams are different. All skin types are different. Numbing cream reacts a little different person to person. There are a lot of factors that could change the results of how the cream works. With that being said, I prefer to use one consistent brand of numbing cream If I do use it. That way I know exactly how the cream works and I’m not experimenting with new creams on your skin.
3- Bring extra friends who aren’t trying to get tattoos🧑🧑🧒🧒
When you bring extra friends there’s a few ways this affects the session. 1. they take up more space. 2. THEIR opinions on YOUR tattoo clouds your judgment, making some people indecisive on placement/ final design. 3. Some people can be a distraction to the artist, slowing down the process.
4- Book a large tattoo session, but have to be somewhere in a few hours..🤦🏽♂️
You would think this is obvious, but every once in a while people still book large sessions and tell me mid session that they have somewhere to be. If you’re planning to get a big tattoo, please book a date when you have no plans. I hate to rush my work and risk the chance of producing low quality tattoos👎🏾 I also hate to be the reason you’re late getting to your next destination. If you’re getting a Large tattoo by me you can expect to be sitting AT LEAST 4.5-5 hours Minimum!
5- Don’t act too tuff for breaks😓
