Terrazzo SA
The SA terrace is located in the heart of Parma, just a step away from the Cathedral and the Baptistery, nestled among the rooftops of the medieval streets. Our project organizes the space so that one can fully enjoy a true open-air living experience—right in the city. Upon entering the terrace, guests are welcomed by a lounge area with soft upholstered seating. At the center stands a sculptural dining table, designed by us and clad with tiles crafted by the owner, a refined ceramic artist. The table, designed to seat up to twelve guests, symbolically rests at one end on an Osmanthus fragrans tree, whose fragrance fills the late summer nights. The chairs are art pieces purchased from the Giustini/Stagetti gallery in Rome, specially conceived in an outdoor version exclusively for this project. Along the east wall lies the kitchen area, featuring a barbecue and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, surrounded by a suspended herb garden that provides fresh ingredients for cooking. A mix of perennials and aromatic plants grows informally in the planters, illuminated by small lamps that blend into the foliage. The color and material palette draws inspiration from the tones of nature.

A design that recalls @giopontiofficial ‘s inspiration of folding doors conceived as openings, as a vector for the communion of spaces and the expansion of perspectives.
Dooor partitions integrate naturally into this flat that connects environments and eras. With their soft and silent movement, they act as a dynamic architectural element that connects living spaces.
The light, textured and velvety coating amplifies the luminosity, offering a flexible threshold that dialogues with the historical architecture of the context and enhances its identity with elegance.
