The pieces are slowly being crafted in the studio alongside client work for @ingrid__bridal Both work is informing one another, although they are very different they both have similar principles which is incredibly fulfilling to jump between 🖤
I constructed this piece during lockdown when booking a model for a shoot was not possible. I built an internal structure from boning to support the gown to stand without a person wearing it.
It was one of the first pieces I made that started to explore my work in the form of sculpture. It’s funny looking back how you can see shimmers of what drives you within your work before you truly understand what it is you are working towards.

Shirt pieces being constructed in the corset making fabric, Coutil. Meaning they are super structured and encapsulate the body, celebrating the tailoring of each individual garment in the collection. More coming …
A pleasure coming back to working on some larger scale sculptures. I first explored these a few years ago and have recently felt inspired to come back to this technique to play with curvature and balance.
