Did you know?
♻️ Steel is the most recycled material in the world.
🧲 Being magnetic, steel is easy and affordable to recover from almost any waste stream.
🌍 Steel is the most commonly used metal in the world. It is everywhere in our lives.
Recently, some of our graduates visited the 55 Pitt Street project in Sydney, seeing first hand how their work contributes to a major project helping shape the city’s skyline.
For many, it was the moment the drawings, spreadsheets and meetings connected to something real.
Experiences like this help our people build capability, connection and a stronger sense of purpose.
Want to be part of something bigger? Our 2027 Graduate Program is now open for applications.

We’ll be at FCON next week.
Our CEO, Francisco Irazusta, will be speaking at the event, sharing how we are working with industry to lift productivity and deliver lower embodied carbon outcomes at scale.
We’ll also have a stand, so if you’re attending, come by to site 23 and say hello. We’d welcome the chance to connect and talk about what’s changing across the sector.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
Delivering renewable energy at scale takes more than supply. It takes planning, coordination and the right solutions on site.
At the MacIntyre Wind Farm, we supported the delivery of 18,000 tonnes of reinforcement across 162 turbines, helping keep a complex program moving.
It’s a strong example of how early engagement and smarter delivery can improve productivity on major projects.

We were pleased to welcome Colin Brooks MP to our Laverton facility for a tour of our electric arc furnace (EAF) and rolling steel mill.
As one of Australia’s largest steel manufacturers and the country’s only EAF producer, we were proud to showcase our sustainable production process that uses recycled ferrous scrap and increasing amounts of renewable energy.
We also discussed the importance of Victorian local content targets, which require the use of local and Australian materials in Victorian Government projects; an initiative that supports local jobs and investment which we are proud to support through our locally manufactured Australian steel.
Happy Mother’s Day 💚
Today we celebrate all the mums and mother figures - at home, at work, and everywhere in between.
To the mums on late shifts, early starts and everything in between, thank you.
To those supporting others like a mum, thank you.
And to those remembering or missing their mums today, we're thinking of you.
🧡 May 8 is Mate Day 🧡
At InfraBuild, mateship is part of how we work.
It’s backing each other, showing up, and taking responsibility for the people around us. It’s how we stay safe, solve problems, and keep things moving across our sites and offices.
Our values come to life in these moments.
We are one and stronger together.
Respect guides how we treat people and how we work safely.
Today is a good reminder to check in with your mates.
Not your typical lift at our Laverton Steel Mill 🚁
When extraction fans needed to be installed on the Rolling Mill roof, the team took a different approach, using a helicopter instead of a traditional crane setup.
The result was faster installation, minimal disruption to operations, and a well-planned lift completed with strong safety controls throughout.
A great example of teams challenging standard approaches to improve productivity and operational efficiency.

The Wire team has been recognised as InfraBuild’s most improved business unit for safety.
Over the past 12 months, the focus has been on strengthening critical risk management. Better investigations. Stronger verification. More effective controls.
The result is a lower risk profile, reduced injury severity and fewer critical incidents.
The annual Safety Award trophy was presented at our Mayfield site last week recognising the progress made across the team.
It’s a practical example of how strong systems and proactive risk management deliver safer outcomes.
