ကဗျာနှင့်ဓာတ်ပုံ | Poem & Photograph မင်းချစ်ပိုင် | Min Chit Paing To my own self, born and living perfectly in my queerness. Writing these poems, I no longer possess the reckless courage of a twenty-three-year-old; perhaps that boldness has begun to fray. Even to say “I have tried my best” feels like an unmasking of human ego, doesn’t it? When there is so little left to hold onto, one becomes afraid to let go. That is why I often lacked the bravery to cut away the excess and leave things unsaid. Min Chit Paing writes because he cannot speak. A Myanmar writer who first found refuge in short stories, he later turned toward poetry as a challenge to his own craft. ကွီယားဖြစ်မှုနဲ့အတူ ပြီးပြည့်စုံစွာ မွေးဖွားပြီး ရှင်သန်နေတဲ့ ကိုယ့်ကိုယ်ကိုယ် အတွက်။ အသက်၂၃ နှစ်မှာရေးတဲ့ ကဗျာတွေမဟုတ်တော့ ရဲဝံ့မှုကတော့ ရော့ရဲနေမှာပါ။ “ကြိုးစားထားပါတယ်” လို့ ပြောနေတာကိုက လူသားပီပီ အတ္တတွေက အထင်းသားမဟုတ်ပါလား။ တွယ်စရာသိပ်မရှိတော့ တော်ရုံဆို မလွှတ်ချရဲဘူး။ ဒါကြောင့် တချို့အရာတွေကို ဖြတ်တောက်ပြီးချန်လှပ်လိုက်ဖို့ သတ္တိနည်းခဲ့တယ်။ မင်းချစ်ပိုင် ဟာ ခံစားချက်တွေကို ပွင့်ပွင့်လင်းလင်း ထုတ်မပြောနိုင်တဲ့အတွက် စာရေးဖြစ်ခဲ့တယ်။ အစပိုင်းမှာ ဝတ္ထုတိုတွေ ဖန်တီးခဲ့တဲ့ မြန်မာအခြေစိုက် စာရေးသူဟာ နောက်ပိုင်းမှာ သူ့ရဲ့ ဖန်တီးမှုစွမ်းရည်ကို စိန်ခေါ်တဲ့အနေနဲ့ ကဗျာဘက်ကို ခြေဆန့်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ Poetry reading session on opening at 6pm Thursday 21st of May @infra.practice

“Four Elements” / “ဓာတ်လေး ၄ ပါး” Four resident artists will bring together through performance, painting, film, poetry, and artist sharing. The idea behind the exhibition is that each artist carries a different kind of energy and practice — movement/dance as air, painting as earth, film/light and darkness as fire, and poetry/writing as water. Together, the exhibition reflects how their different practices are moving toward one shared direction of expression, release, and transformation. The exhibition will take place at Infra Practice (Chiang Mai) from 21–24 May 2026 Opening Event On 21st May, Thursday, 6:00 - 9:00 PM Artist Talk, Film Screening, Poetry Reading, and Traditional Burmese Dance Performance A New Burma ရဲ့ ၂၀၂၆ Art Residency Program မှာတော့ မြန်မာပြည်ကနေ ပုံစံတမျိုးစီနဲ့ ရောက်လာကြတဲ့ အနုပညာရှင် လေးယောက်ဟာ အကြောင်းအရင်း တစ်ခုခုကြောင့် ရည်ရွယ်ချက် ရှိရှိနဲ့ သိုဝှက်ထားရတဲ့ ခံစားချက်တွေ​ ဒါမှမဟုတ် အခြေအနေတွေ အမျိုးမျိုးကြောင့် ပိတ်လှောင်ခံနေရတဲ့ ခံစားချက်တွေကို ဖွင့်ဟဖို့ ဖြစ်လာခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ကွဲပြားတဲ့ နောက်ခံ အကြောင်းတရားတွေနဲ့ အနုပညာဆိုင်ရာ လေ့ကျင့်မှုတွေ ရှိနေပေမယ့် ခံစားရူမြင်နေရတဲ့ အကြောင်းတွေဟာ Residency အတွင်း တစ်ဦးကို တစ်ဦး ဖွင့်ဟရင်း ခပ်ဆင်ဆင် တူနေတာကိုလည်း အချင်းချင်း သိရှိခဲ့ကြတယ်။ အနုပညာရှင် လေးယောက်ဟာ သူတို့ရဲ့ ခံစားမှုတွေနဲ့ အတွေးမြင်တွေကို စိတ်အားထက်သန်မှု အပြည့်နဲ့ ဖန်တီးနေတာဟာ မတူညီတဲ့ ပုံစံနဲ့ စွမ်းအင်တွေကို ထပ်လုပ်နေသလိုမျိုးပါပဲ။ ဒါကြောင့် ခန္ဓာကိုယ် ရွေ့လျားမှုတွေနဲ့ အက အလှ အနုပညာကို တင်ဆက်တဲ့သူကို လေ ၊ တည်ငြိမ်မှု အပြည့်နဲ့ အရောင်တွေကို ခြယ်မှုန်းဆွဲတဲ့ ပန်းချီ အနုပညာကို ထုတ်ဖော်တဲ့ သူကို မြေ ၊ အလင်းနဲ့ အမှောင်ကို အသုံးပြုပြီး ရုပ်ရှင် ဖန်တီးသူကို မီး ၊ ရေရဲ့ အလျင်လို့ စကားလေးတွေကို စီးဆင်းရေးဖွဲ့သူကို ရေ အဖြစ် တင်စားပြီး သူတို့ လေးယောက်ကို သေးငယ်ပေမဲ့ အရွေ့တစ်ခုဆီသွားဖို့ စွမ်းအင်တွေ ရှိနေတဲ့ သဘာဝတရားထဲက “ဓာတ် ၄ပါး” အဖြစ် တင်စားခဲ့ပါတယ်။ စွမ်းအင် (၄) မျိုးနဲ့ တူညီတဲ့ အရွေ့ တစ်ခုဆီကို သွားနေကြတဲ့ အနုပညာ လက်ရာတွေကိုတော့ အခု “ဓာတ် (၄) ပါး” ပြပွဲမှာ ခံစား ကြည့်ရူရမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ Poster design by @noan_hom #anewburma #artresidency #anewburma #artresidency

Gilang Propagila will share stories about building community as a space for learning, self-organization, and contribution to broader social movements. Beyond cultural resistance, this initiative also experimenting with establishing a cooperative as a creative economic foundation capable of sustaining collective action. From collective spaces to street demonstrations, from cultural resistance to cooperative projects, this is an effort to reimagine collective movements as a strategy to confront Bali’s greedy tourism industry. This was especially important because history lessons in schools were heavily regulated under the New Order regime. Seizing the means of historicization has become part of a larger project of self-determination, autonomy, and the decentralization of knowledge production. More than 25 years later, the government has echoed a similar authoritative tendency to control historical narratives by soon publishing a “correct” history book that would erase many cases of state violence in Indonesia. What needs to be done differently this time? We would like to open this discussion with attendees while reflecting on Kunci’s selected past projects. On 24th, Gilang Propagila (Dis-Print Kultur & Tektonik Records, Bali) will lead a linoblock printing workshop in the morning (10-12h) He will share experiences from grassroots organizing in Bali — from DIY hardcore shows and zine archives to Food Not Bombs, community radio, independent distro culture, and cooperative experiments responding to extractive tourism.
