Meet, Don Currie! For 7+ years, Don has been a true embodiment of what it means to be an Influvian. Today he leads our Training and Development efforts, spearheading the Influitive Institute.
We asked Don to tell us about what drew him here those 7 years ago:
“The things that drew me to Influitive more than seven years ago still keep me engaged and enthusiastic about my future here. When I was fresh off a plane from South Korea, where I had been living and working, I was drawn to the camaraderie that was evident as I walked through the office and spoke with team members. Over the years, I have developed countless friendships and meaningful professional relationships that cross departments, hierarchy, and borders.
The other major factor that keeps me at Influitive is its focus on quality people management. The managers here legitimately care about your well-being as a professional and as a human being. In our current circumstances, having mental wellness as a priority is essential when choosing a place to work. I've never once felt like the pandemic has caused a slow down in my, or Influitive’s, success trajectory. In fact, I have never been so bullish about the company as I am today.”
Welcome, Casey! Casey joins the team as a Community Manager and will help give our customers the best experience possible.
In her own time, Casey listens to lo-fi jazz while working and enjoys travelling, having been to over 22 countries! In her own words, she says, “The diversity and teachings of a foreign place and unfamiliar culture is a space that I feel grateful and renewed. Don't ask me to pick my favourite place I’ve been, as a piece of each one has been integral to my growth and in making me who I am :)”
We also asked her to tell us a bit about what drew her to the job at Influitive.
“I was drawn to Influitive because of its rich and creative culture. Influitive is filled with people who are open to new information, eager to learn and more importantly, who genuinely love what they do. And it shows! As the first Community Manager in the organization, I'm excited to integrate and contribute to the company's established foundation and bright future ahead. I’m motivated by this amazing tech and advocate marketing space and all there is to learn. I’m looking forward to collaborating with unique and global companies that are ready to expand their B2B and B2C footprint. Oh, and all the free snacks!"
