Burton iDiom by Damp Magazine (2002) Burton iDiom was a short-lived but highly influential sub-label created in the early 2000s through a collaboration between Burton and Hiroshi Fujiwara. The line blended technical snowboard outerwear with minimalist Japanese fashion and urban design. Instead of loud snowboard graphics that were common at the time, iDiom focused on muted colors, clean silhouettes, premium materials, and subtle branding. It was designed to work both on the mountain and in the city, years before “gorpcore” and technical streetwear became mainstream. Fujiwara brought influences from Tokyo street culture, music, and functional military-inspired clothing, while Burton supplied the performance technology. The result felt more like a high-fashion technical label than traditional snowboard gear. via @dampmagazines
