Over the years, each has carved out a different path, adopted a unique aesthetic, and discovered its own voice, yet their shared lineage remains undeniable. They are built upon the same foundation, fueled by the same raw energy and the inherent need to dismantle established structures.
Hardcore remains the eldest sibling, upholding tradition with an emphasis on attitude and uncompromising directness. Metalcore represents the branch that infused the family heritage with technicality, melody, and grandiosity, bridging worlds that once stood in isolation. Deathcore is the youngest and most feral member of the clan, pushing the limits of brutality and sonic intensity to the very edge.
While each genre speaks a slightly different dialect, their DNA is identical. They are bound by the crushing weight of the breakdown, the kinetic energy of the moshpit, and a visceral honesty that requires no artifice. At this year’s Brutal Assault, these siblings will reunite within the walls of the Josefov fortress to prove that while they may have evolved in different directions, their common root remains as vital and powerful as ever.
