(NO AI PHOTO GENERATED BS) Many see me in a more demonic form, a form that I love, but my art and myself as a person really feel the cosmic balance of the light and the dark within my body, brain, and soul. And so the dance of the demon and angel reside within me. (Thus why symbolic images such as the chaos symbol and yin and yang deeply resonate with me and visually represent the way I experience life.) With too much light, the darkness cannot exist and too much light can be blinding, just as too much darkness can blind on itself. Without darkness, the light has no depth; without light, the shadows lose their meaning. The rest of the set has it's own very symbolic meaning and I am super proud of what we all created together. The synergy was magical and powerful and it's very interesting how the track used on this post adds was found juste a few days ago and adds even more depth and meaning to this set with it's hypnotic beats and elegant vocals. 🖤DARK ROOM.004🖤 this event always does something to me. It reminds me of who I am when I stop overthinking and just exist in it. It feels grounding but also like I can completely lose myself at the same time. I’m just really grateful I got to show my essence here, because I know not every space would hold every element of it with open arms and no judgement. But where did this get inspired from? Inspired from my internal push/pull mental dynamic for sure. Nemesis is not just a character. He’s a part of me that craves control and the one that commands and demands perfection And the “creature” on the leash isn’t something separate. It’s another part of me too. It envelops the impulses, the emotions and the parts of myself that feel like too much. Making it perform, forcing it through tricks, punishing it when it fails with the impressive, never-failing negative self talk. This feels like what control can turn into and it feels like a constant negotiation between who I am and who I think I need to be. Decorating it, shaping it into something absurd and consumable, only to rupture it moments later and having the illusion breaking in real time. The mood shifts that come with with it. A joy quickly turning into anger and self-hatred when things don't work out. There’s humor in yhe visual for sure...and definitrly chaos. But underneath, there’s something more uncomfortable: the split between the one who performs and the one being forced to perform. In this circus, there is no clear role and there never will be. I AM THE RINGMASTER. I AM THE CREATURE. AND I AM THE SPECTACLE. And maybe this is too deep 😜 But thing is.. I'm always deep 🤷‍♂️ At least 90% of the time haha
