I had the absolute honour of hosting the BAFTA special presentation award for Horrible Histories last night! A room full of incredible people who have worked on the show for the last 15 years - from original cast and crew to the current team. ✨
It's an indescribable feeling to be in a room filled with such talent and passion for not only creating great television, but helping to inspire future generations.
Horrible Histories is so timeless! It's a testament to the quality of the show that people can still recall characters, sketches and songs from over a decade ago.
I'm truly thankful to Richard Bradley,
@manofminitalents and Melissa Hardinge for having me on board.
Big love to
@BAFTA ,
@lisaprime ,
@hazzabalmforth ,
@milli_mixology ,
@saraputt and the rest of the production team for believing in me to steer the ship this evening. As I said, it's truly an honour and I'm humbled... Especially in the presence of Baroness
@baronessfloellabenjamin
I grew up watching her on TV. She was the first Black woman I watched on screen. She recounted to me how she had to kick down doors and take charge of her own destiny to get to where she did. Such a bold, admirable person that has truly inspired countless people over the decades.
Also, much love to my young King in the making,
@jeriah_kibusi , who truly will be the biggest thing in the UK in a few years! So wise, humble and professional in his young years, he truly kept me calm and grounded this evening with his kind words
Anyways, i'm gushing. Big shout out to
@ray_bohm for coming to support me this evening and much love to the entire Horrible Histories team ❤️
Long may it continue x
